Passionate Devotion: Master Fudd's Beloved Wife novel Chapter 723

Wilson got into the helicopter after he left Easthill Valley.

Thompson took off his mask and sighed as the helicopter took off. He said, “Did the leader mention when Ruby’s coming back? We were the golden trio but now we’ve been torn apart. I miss Ruby a lot these days!”

Wilson snorted, “Why do you miss her so much? Do you miss her smacking you?”

Thompson was speechless.

Grinning, he suddenly recalled the scene of Blaine taking a bullet for Ruby. He touched his chin and frowned. “Frost Blade is really something. He actually took a bullet for an undercover spy.”

Wilson fixed his sleeves and realized the bullet Ruby shot had brushed past his cufflink as there was a burn mark left on it.

Thompson saw it as well, “F*ck! Ruby was the one who pulled the trigger, right? For real? How could she fire a gun at you! She almost hit your arm! Did she fall into his honey trap?”

Wilson frowned and said worriedly, “She’d better not fall for Frost Blade. Otherwise, the leader will not let her go. However, I’m surprised she actually dared to fire a gun at me. Although the bullet didn’t hit me, it seemed like she was warning me about something.”

“A warning? Is she warning us to stop messing around with her man?”

“She might have done that subconsciously, not purposely.”

Thompson explained, “That is exactly why it’s dangerous. She’s subconsciously trying to protect Frost Blade like a mother bear protecting its cub. She doesn’t even recognize friend from foe. This is very unlike her.”

Wilson denied firmly. “No. This is Ruby. There’s a clear line between love and hate. If she really fell in love with Frost Blade, she could betray us anytime.”

Thompson rubbed his nose. “If we really become enemies, I won’t be able to fire a gun at her. However, it seems like Frost Blade is serious about her as well. That kiss in the woods earlier was definitely a passionate one.”

Wilson’s face darkened as concern flashed across his eyes. “I hope Ruby will get out of this situation as soon as possible.”

Ruby helped Blaine back to the cave.

They had everything in there, including some basic medical appliances and medicine.

Ruby followed Blaine’s orders. She extracted the bullet from his back, disinfected the wound, and stopped his bleeding using a hemostat. Then, she applied a layer of medicine and bandaged his wound.

She did everything perfectly. Although Blaine was giving her instructions, she appeared too skilled.

Ruby was standing behind Blaine, applying some finishing touches to the bandage.

Blaine’s back was facing her. Unsure whether he was trying to test her or was simply saying it without any intention, he said, “Softie, you’re very skilled in cleaning and bandaging wounds.”

Ruby’s movement paused, yet she managed to remain calm and said, “I don’t want you to bleed too much, so I worked fast. However, the cleaning and bandaging is not professionally done, so you should go back and see a doctor afterward.”

“Do you know the guy who was chasing us earlier?”
