Passionate Devotion: Master Fudd's Beloved Wife novel Chapter 724

Old K and Shadow were sitting in the study room, waiting for Master Blaine to start their discussion.

Old K said, “I’m sure Master Blaine forced himself on Miss Softie when they went to Easthill Valley. That’s why he’s more in love with Miss Softie now.”

Shadow crossed his arms and shrugged. “Maybe Master Blaine wasn’t the one who took the initiative. He’s never been interested in such matters. Softie must have been the one to seduce Master Blaine.”

Old K was speechless.

Miss Softie was just an 18 years old girl. Was she really that evil and calculative like what Shadow was saying?

Old K looked at his watch and frowned. “Our appointment with Master Blaine is at 3.30pm but it’s already 3.50pm now. Master Blaine has never been late.”

Shadow let out a cold hum and pounded angrily on the table. “I’m sure Softie is bugging Master Blaine right now and not letting him leave. She’s a femme fatale. Moreover, she’s a spy. How can Master Blaine trust a woman like her who came out of nowhere instead of us who have followed him for so many years! I’ll find someone to kill her later!”

The door of the room made a clicking sound and was pushed open as soon as he finished talking.

A cold and deep voice came from the door, “Who do you want to kill?”

Old K was speechless.

Shadow should have kept those thoughts to himself. How could he say them out loud? He was asking to die!

Old K simply laughed and said, “Master Blaine, we were talking about those people from the Light Organization. How dare they try to kill you at Easthill Valley! They really went overboard this time. Shadow was very angry, so he thought he wanted to teach them a lesson by killing the person who fired his gun at you!”

Shadow was a bad-tempered guy. Old K elbowed him but he did not budge or bother to explain himself.

Blaine entered the door, sat down, and started eyeing them. “But why did I hear something about Shadow wanting to send someone to deal with Softie?”

Old K immediately responded, “Absolutely not! Miss Softie is yours. How dare Shadow do something like that? Master Blaine, you must have misheard what we were talking about!”

Blaine’s eyes trembled as he frowned. “So are you telling me that I can’t hear well?”

Old K was left speechless.

He shivered.

Unconvinced, Shadow frowned and said, “Master Blaine, I was just speaking the truth. That woman must be an undercover spy. Although I can’t remember clearly whether she was the woman I fought in Easthill Valley, nobody knew about you bringing her to Easthill Valley this time. You decided on your trip rather spontaneously. Why did the people from the Light Organization appear at such a convenient moment while you were there?”

Blaine looked calmly at Shadow. “You may keep speaking. Tell me everything that’s on your mind.”

Shadow’s fist curled up into a tight ball. “Hmph, that woman must be behind this! She must have colluded with the Light Organization to kill you at Easthill Valley!”

Old K studied Master Blaine’s expression cautiously and looked at Shadow with a pleading look as he thought, ‘Damn it, Shadow. Please stop talking. We’ll be dead if things go on like this!’

However, Shadow was a single-minded man. He did not know when to stop, let alone read people’s facial expressions. He continued talking, “That woman doesn’t look innocent at all. Our enemies must have sent her here to seduce you! Think about it, Master Blaine. You started to slack off after she arrived. You were never late but you were twenty minutes late for our appointment today! Master Blaine, this isn’t like you!”

Shadow spilled his thoughts without hiding anything. He looked like he was ready to fight, completely ignorant about his own life.

Wearing a stiff smile on his face, Old K patted Shadow’s shoulder. “Master Blaine, you don’t have to listen to his nonsense. He must be out of his mind today. He’ll be fine after he comes back to his senses! Master Blaine…”

Shadow wanted to keep talking but Old K immediately covered his mouth with his hands.
