Passionate Devotion: Master Fudd's Beloved Wife novel Chapter 774

It was at Glacier City in R Country.

“How is it? Did you find Ms. Ruby?”

“Not yet. We only managed to find the car Ms. Ruby took on the way to the airport which was written-off. We found it at a recycling plant.”

Old K sent batches of people to look for Ruby, but to no avail.

“Keep looking for her. You have to find Ms. Ruby!”

“Yes.”

Old K was worried. It had been two days but there was no news regarding Ruby’s whereabouts at all. What if something bad really happened to Ruby at Glacier City? How was he going to explain it to Master Blaine?

It was at the Western Border.

Blaine would call Ruby every two days. He would not call her every day because she mentioned before that calling each other every day felt more like him checking in on her rather than caring about her or missing her.

Blaine was not the clingy type of boyfriend. Hence, they did not mind talking to each other on the phone every two days.

However, he could not get through to her even after calling her a few times this week.

He had a vague feeling that something was wrong.

Blaine’s phone rang as he was deep in thoughts. It was Old K.

He picked up the phone.

“Old K, what’s wrong?”

“Master Blaine… something bad might have happened to Ms. Ruby.”

Blaine rushed all the way back to Glacier City in the middle of the night.

He went straight to the Glaceau’s mansion instead of the Kingswood Mansion as soon as he arrived.

He barged into the house with a murderous look.

Blade was about to go to bed at that moment. He frowned as he heard movement outside. Donning his pajamas, he walked out of his bedroom and asked the butler, “What’s wrong?”

“Old Master, Young Master is back.”

Blade’s frown deepened and he said, “He’s supposed to be at the border. Why did he suddenly come back?”

“I’m… not sure about that.”

Blaine strode into the house as soon as the butler was done talking. The house was filled with a hostile and evil aura.

“Something happened to Softie. Are you behind this?”

Blade looked dignified as usual. He said in a cold and sharp tone, “You come barging into the house, venting your temper, and questioning me as soon as you come back. Did you even get permission to leave the border?”

Blaine questioned him again, “Are you feeling guilty or are you avoiding my question?”

“Blaine, how can you talk to your father with that attitude?”

Blaine’s gaze never left Blade’s face as he said, “Answer my question! Were you behind Softie’s disappearance?”

Blade was furious. His hands behind him curled up into a tight ball of fist as he answered in disdain, “How can you leave your post without permission just for a woman? Blaine, you’re crazy!”

His eyes were filled with anger. He was extremely disappointed in his son.

The tension between the father and son grew stronger.

The butler could not help but said to Blaine, “Young Master, you really misunderstood Old Master. It was true Ms. Softie came to the Glaceau’s Mansion two days ago, but…”

Blade cut the butler off before he could even finish his sentence. He yelled at him, “Caleb!”

He was signalling the butler to shut up.

“Why was Softie here? Did you send someone to kidnap her to Glacier City?”

Blade faced his back toward his son. He took a deep breath and tried to calm his anger down. Frowning, he said, “I did not kidnap her. I sent my man to invite her here and she came to see me willingly!”

Blaine gave him a mocking smile and said, “What difference does that make?”

“Blaine Glaceau! If you’re done throwing a tantrum, get your a*s back to the border!”

Blade’s blood was boiling. The father and son were suddenly squaring off.

Blaine pulled out his gun and aimed it at Blade.
