Passionate Devotion: Master Fudd's Beloved Wife novel Chapter 877

With Boyle's help, Cherie was able to cancel her contract with Universal Studios a year earlier.

It felt good to be completely free from debt.

She received a whole bunch of emails from different agencies with offers to be her manager. However, Cherie could not be bothered by them. She had decided to not think of work for a bit and would sign other work contracts at a much later date.

It did not take her long to receive an invitation to attend Capital City University's celebration for their hundredth year anniversary.

Cherie was stunned.

Suddenly, Cherie was being flooded by a barrage of text messages from Whitney.

[Hey Cherie, this Saturday is our school's hundredth-year celebration, let's go together!]

[Well, you know my wedding is on the very next day. Come on now, you're going to the capital anyway so why don't we have fun in the capital on Saturday?]

The text messages had also attached a whole bunch of adorable emojis.

Cherie asked Whitney.

[But your wedding is on the next day. Aren't you departing from North City to the capital?]

Whitney replied to her.

[That was the original plan. We initially planned to depart from North City to the capital early the next morning. Huntley's family said they were able to book the entire flight for my bridesmaids and maid of honor but we have to get up early. Well, you know my father, he's incredibly ecstatic when he knows I'll be able to marry Huntley since his family is rich. He's basically selling his daughter away. Because of that, he's actually willing to listen and follow any arrangements Huntley's family has.]

Whitney had always been a carefree and loose cannon. Cherie had also met Whitney's father before, so she could imagine everything Whitney told her. It made her laugh.

Cherie replied.

[Uncle only wants the best for you so you won't have to suffer in the future.]

Whitney nodded and agreed with her in her response.

[Fair point. He actually loves me a lot so we’re departing directly from the capital for my wedding on the weekend. Huntley and I have talked about it. We’re not going to hold our wedding on land, no. Instead, we’re going to have our wedding on a cruise ship. We’ll be able to have fun for the entire day too. Huntley's parents are quite happy with it and said that they’re going to respect our choice.]

Cherie found the idea of a wedding on a cruise ship impressive and quite interesting.

Whitney added another comment.

[Oh that's right, I need you, the legendary pianist, to play for my wedding when we're on the cruise ship.]

[Of course.]

Whitney continued.

[So, we are going to the capital on Saturday. As my maid of honor, even if you aren't going to the reunion, you’re still required to go to the capital with me as well.]

Cherie did not refuse her as she answered.

[Sure.]

The truth was, Cherie had already made her way to the capital on Friday alone.

It was not because she had things to do in the capital that required her to arrive a day earlier. Instead, she only wanted to visit Capital State University when it was not crowded.

After Cherie had arrived at the capital and settled herself in her hotel room on Friday at noon, she took a cab to the university.

Capital State University was crowded on a Friday. There were crowds of students that were all busy walking back and forth to class.

A group of active and young students were playing basketball on the basketball court. They were all so full of energy.

Cherie picked up her polaroid camera and took some pictures around the campus.

It was her first time back in her university in seven years. She had only studied her freshman year there and transferred to the United States in less than a year back then.

However, even though she spent more time studying at Curtis Music Academy, she felt more attached and had a deeper connection with Capital City University.

The place contained memories of her friends and some of the most important memories of her youth.

Those were memories that would never fade with time.

Since the campus was huge, Cherie felt tired after walking around the university's campus and she decided to take a break. She sat by the lake while looking through the pictures she had taken with her polaroid.

A little girl with a red backpack approached her after a brief moment and asked her cheerfully, "Hey sister, what are you doing?"
