Future brother-in-law?
Harrison was completely stunned as he took a closer look at the man in front of him. He frowned and said, "What did you say? I didn't quite catch that."
'Future brother-in-law? Whose future brother-in-law was this man referring to anyway?'
If Harrison was not mistaken, he only knew that he had one sister and he did not think that his father had any other illegitimate children out there.
Boyle was quite the patient person as he raised his brows a little and said, "I am your future brother-in-law, Boyle Lawson."
Boyle… Boyle…
Suddenly, Harrison recalled that name and it seemed that this man was the man responsible for his sister's miscarriage seven years ago!
Harrison's gaze suddenly grew cold as he glared at Boyle and said, "So, you were the scumbag responsible for abandoning my sister and caused her miscarriage seven years ago?"
The atmosphere grew tense and it seemed as if Harrison's gaze was menacing enough to kill a man.
Harrison grabbed Boyle's collar and their eyes met.
However, Boyle calmly scanned the area and suggested, "There are too many people around here and if we fight, it'll only make everything more chaotic for others. I know there's a boxing ring upstairs in this pub. Let's head up there and I'll let you beat me up as much as you want."
Lucas was completely stunned as he wondered who would even serve themselves up on a silver platter to have another person beat them up.
Harrison was also a little surprised as he did not expect this man to still have somewhat of an honor. He furiously tossed Boyle away, glared at him and said, "F*ck yeah, let's do it!"
Harrison exited the snooker room and headed straight toward the exit.
Boyle grinned as he slowly fixed his collar with his long slender fingers.
After he was done, he turned around and followed closely behind Harrison out of the room.
Calum hastily rushed over to him as he said, "Boss, are you really going to allow that little brat to bully you as much as he wants?"
Boyle's eyes glimmered as he replied in a soft tone, "If by lowering myself and allowing myself to get beaten up could get me closer with the people closest to madam, I don't see any reason not to be happy about it."
It was pretty much a benefit for him.
Calum thought to himself, 'Boss, you sure are a cunning old fox.'
Upon arriving at the boxing ring and just as Boyle entered the ring, Harrison suddenly turned around and punched Boyle in the face.
Since Harrison was young and tended to act impulsively in addition to how strong the punch was, the corner of Boyle's mouth started bleeding.
Harrison gritted his teeth and furiously exclaimed, "Stay the hell away from my sister!"
Boyle reached out and wiped the blood off the corner of his mouth with his fingertips as he exclaimed with a determined tone, "If I leave, she'll die."
Thud!
Another punch connected onto Boyle's face.
Harrison was fuming with extreme rage as he exclaimed, "Get off your high horse! Who the hell do you think you are? My sister was pretty much cursed with extreme misfortune for meeting you!"
Boyle replied with a calm tone, "Yeah, she's unlucky to have met me but I'm lucky to have met her."
Punch after punch came wailing down on him.
However, Boyle never made any attempts to fight back.
Harrison yelled at him, "Why aren't you fighting back? Are you trying to play the victim in front of my sister?"
Boyle said, "We can talk business if you're done punching me."
"What do you want to talk about?"
"Let's talk about your sister's past. You know, the things you don't know about."
Harrison was speechless as he cursed in his heart.
'Does this man even speak the human language or was he just tired of living?'
Harrison gave him another punch.
Although Boyle's mouth was completely bloodied, it did not seem to bother him at all as all he did was wipe the blood away with his fingertips.
It seemed Harrison was exhausted from all the beatings but was still quite frustrated.
"What exactly do you even want?"
Boyle cracked a bloody smile and said, "I need you to tell me what does your sister eat at home, what does she do at home and how exactly is she?"
"Why the f*ck should I tell you any of that?"
Boyle smiled and replied with a patient tone, "Well, because I'm going to be your future brother-in-law."
Harrison was completely speechless.
It seemed the man was beyond scummy!
…
When Harrison returned home, he flung his arm around. The same arm he used to punch Boyle countless times over.
Could the man not feel anything since his fist was starting to sore.
'F*ck. What a complete weirdo.'
He should have known that the man his sister loved could have never been a normal man since his sister was also a weirdo herself.
Cherie was watching T.V. in the living room downstairs.
Harrison took a glance at the T.V. and saw that she was watching Teletubbies.
He then took a glance at the clock and realized it was already one in the morning. Thus, it seemed that instead of sleeping, she was watching Teletubbies alone?
"Are you feeling okay, sis?"
Cherie was completely glued to the T.V. and did not notice his voice.
Harrison approached her and loudly called out to her, "Sis!"
Cherie was a little startled and she seemed a little exhausted as she said, "Oh, you're back."
Harrison said, "Yeah. I ran into a complete weirdo today and made me want to actually beat him up. However, he didn't even bother to retaliate or fight back and kept rolling with the punches. Man, he's scary though. I mean, his resolve and determination is terrifying."
Cherie was still watching her show as she made a simple comment, "You got into a fight again?"
"No, I didn't get into a fight. I didn't want to beat him up but he just kept begging for it."
"Who could stoop that low?" Cherie was still glued to the T.V.
The corner of Harrison's mouth twitched as he was tempted to reply with, 'Your husband.'
When Harrison thought about what Boyle told him about, his gaze dimmed as he snatched the remote and immediately turned the T.V. off.
"You should stop watching now and go to bed. Just look at the time. Women would be more prone to aging if they stayed up too late, don't you know about that?"
"I can't sleep." Cherie raised her head to look at her brother.
Harrison sighed but he did not return the remote to her as he said, "Even if you can't sleep, you really should try to sleep though. How could you know that you actually can't sleep if you never try?"
Cherie seemed to be in a daze and devoid of emotion as she got off the couch and walked upstairs in a deflated mood.
As Harrison stared at his sister's back, he suddenly called out to her in a serious tone, "Sis."
