Please Give Me Another Chance, Mrs. Hamilton novel Chapter 707

"Nad, you and Brad made out every night. If that's the case, was it really a loveless marriage?"

After Avery said this, she stared into Nadine's eyes, searching for an answer that lay hidden. But Nadine avoided her gaze, lowering her head with a hint of guilt.

Truth be told, Nadine did enjoy her married life, especially the intimacy between them. In bed, Brad was attentive to her feelings, often accommodating her. She made him comfortable, and he did the same for her. The two of them were perfectly in sync.

Although Brad was often cold toward her, she knew it was just his personality. Brad was naturally aloof, always distant and reserved—even toward his parents. He rarely spoke and often had a stern expression.

Despite being charming, he made himself look unapproachable. People didn't even dare look at him for too long.

Avery's question left Nadine speechless. She didn't know what to say. Memories of her marriage flooded her mind.

Nadine recalled one incident where she burned her foot while cooking. Though she applied ointment, the pain was still unbearable, keeping her awake in bed.

That night, Brad didn't reach out to touch her. Hearing her gasp in pain, he scoffed, got up, and went to the study.

Later, Nadine felt a distinct coolness on the burn. Someone's warm hand was gently holding her leg, silently applying medicine to the injury. At that moment, she felt a surge of gratitude in her heart.

But Brad threw a cold remark her way. "You're really noisy. Just go to sleep already." Afterward, he lay back down, turning his back to her.

Now, thinking back on it, Nadine realized she might have been narrow-minded. Brad was just naturally indifferent. He couldn't even be bothered to spare a glance at people he didn't care about. The fact that he took the time to apply medicine for Nadine was already the greatest care he could show.
