Dorian said eagerly, “Exactly! Everyone knows you’re about to start school soon, so they sent me to check in, just in case you forgot.”

Dorian was dying to know the follow–ups. But he knew better than to bother Sophia. Even if his curiosity was killing him, he had to restrain himself.

Sophia said, “Amy was in an arranged marriage. She had a former lover, but her parents forcibly separated them and married her off to Richard instead. She even had a son with her ex before the marriage.”

Dorian froze. In the gossip group, where everyone used aliases, they’d spent days guessing which member of the Turner family was the biological father of Bryan’s son. But they never expected the truth to be so. Dorian said, “So Bryan’s son is…”
