Chapter 62
Chapter 62
Howard was willing to risk being cyberbullied himself just to drag Sophia into the mire. When fans of other celebrities and netizens who had hard an his livestream tuned in, they expected an apology.
[What is Howard doing? He doesn’t mention his own actions at all and instead tries to use
his fans to cyberbully Sophia?]
(Has he gone mad? His mental state doesn’t seem good. He doesn’t apologize but instead tries to involve Sophia. Why?]
[Is he just giving up? His hands and legs are broken, but his mouth isn’t. Isn’t he going to apologize to the seniors he insulted?]
[Seriously? Are there still any of his fans left? Where are Howard’s fans? Why aren’t those idiots showing up?]
[Damn jerk. Just get lost. You’re nothing but a pretty face. There can’t be people who believe him just because he’s good–looking, right?]
In the livestream, Howard’s fans were noticeably absent, but it was clear that some were still lurking.
Howard continued, “Ever since Sophia pushed me down the stairs, she hasn’t visited me in the hospital. My parents are just trying to smooth things over. I feel like my life has lost all its value now.
“I don’t know what the point of living is. This livestream mi
the last time l appear in front of everyone.”
If he had gone live before his scandals were exposed, people might have felt some sympathy for him. But now, everyone just thought he deserved what he got.
[Why can’t I understand what he’s saying? Is he trying to say he got cyberbullied and now has depression?]
[Depression is the best excuse these days. Does having depression mean he doesn’t have to apologize? You want Sophia to apologize? Have you apologized? Did you belittle those seniors because of depression? Does that mean you can be forgiven?]
[Just get lost. The entertainment industry is better off without you. I feel disgusted just seeing you.]
[If you think it’s unfair, call the police. We’re not the police, and we won’t judge you or fall for your tricks and cyberbully Sophia. Give it up, loser.]
Howard tried his best to ignore the comments in the livestream, but he couldn’t help getting angry. No one looked good when they were angry, and Howard was no exception. He said what he had to say, and the rest was up to his remaining fans.
After ending the livestream, Howard smashed everything in his room and screamed in a fit of hysterical rage. The servants dared not go near him.
Sophia returned with Charlotte. When Heather saw Charlotte, she suddenly had a bad feeling.
“Ms. Grant, what brings you here? Is it because of something Sophia did?” Heather glanced at Sophia, thinking she must have caused trouble again. Heather was glad Sophia was in trouble, but she didn’t want the Chandler family to be implicated.
Sophia hung her head low. Charlotte patted her hair and said to Heather, “I’m here because of Howard’s livestream.”
“What about Howard’s livestream?” Heather had no idea what Howard had done in his livestream.
Charlotte explained, “Howard claimed in his livestream that Sophia pushed him down the stairs. Sophia was afraid of being attacked by Howard’s fans, so she called the police.”
Heather’s eyes widened in shock. “Sophia, you called the police?”
Sophia hid behind Charlotte, her voice trembling. “I was scared. Those fans are terrifying.”
Heather looked at her pretending and got furious. “You’re trying to drive me crazy, aren’t you?”
Chapter 62
“Heather: Charlotte said, clearly displeased with her attitude. “I watched Howard’s livestream, and he did seem to be inciting his tam. in. with him. Where is he?”
Heather was taken aback and felt extremely frustrated. “He’s severely injured, with a broken leg, and he’s resting in his room*
Charlotte said, “Heather, please show me the way.”
Heather led Charlotte to Howard’s room, messaging Jonathan on the way to come back quickly.
Before Heather could say anything after knocking on the door, Howard’s roar came from inside. “Get out, all of you.”
Heather felt a pang in her heart and was even more embarrassed in front of an outsider. “Howard, there’s an officer here to speak with you.
After a long while, Howard finally came to the door. He was sitting in a wheelchair, his hair and clothes disheveled.
Charlotte took out her badge and began questioning. “Mr. Chandler, why did you tell your fans during the livestream that you broke your leg because Sophia pushed you down the stairs?”
Howard stared intently at Sophia.
Charlotte continued, “Sophia reported that you incited your fans to retaliate against her. Please answer my questions truthfully.”
Howard suddenly burst into laughter, glaring at Sophia with such hatred that it seemed he wanted to strangle her. He gritted his teeth, his face twisted with fury. “You pushed me down the stairs. And now you dare to call the police?”
