Chapter 86
Sophia’s eyes lit up at the sight of the telescopic baton. Jerome dodged and hopped as he ran toward the exit, yelling, “Maelin, you’re crazy”
His old wounds hadn’t even healed before new ones were added all because of her. Maelis, in her high heels, chased after him non stop. The people watching were nervous, thinking she might twist her ankle at any moment.
Maetis yelled, “You dare call me crazy? Getting brave now, huh? Fine, I’ll show you crazy–I’ll beat the crap out of you.”
The long telescopic baton cracked across Jerome’s body, making him grimace and groani softly. Too proud to shout in front of everyone, he clenched his teeth and bore the pain–his face twisted, cheeks flushed red.
The onlookers felt bad for Jerome–Maelis was just too savage. He ran away, she chased him, and soon both disappeared, leaving the hall in stunned
silence.
Sophia chuckled lightly, the knife still in her hand. She taunted, “Emily, Violetta, are you really looking for a fight here?”
Finally, Emily stiffened her neck and said firmly, “We’re not fans, okay? We’re just here for an online friends‘ meetup, that’s all.”
Emily sneered, “Sophia, are you getting paranoid now? Looks like all those shady deeds are coming back to haunt you.”
Sophia smirked sarcastically and said, “I just have to deal with brain–dead morons like you every day.”
Though Emily wanted to get back at Sophia, it clearly wasn’t happening there. Emily glared at her, then looked at Ralston, the manager, acting rich and important. “I’ve booked a private room for dinner here.”
Sophia smiled, teasing, “Emily, I’m surprised you can still afford to treat everyone. Hasn’t Vicky kicked you out of the Shelton family yet? My, she is way too kind.”
Lately, Vicky had been busy looking for a lawyer and fighting Geoffrey over their messy divorce, so she had no time to bother with Emily. Emily stayed quiet because she was afraid Sophia would reveal her questionable background.
Emily hurried Ralston along, then turned to Sophia and snapped, “I’m not in the mood to argue with you right now. Don’t cause trouble.”
Sophia shook her head with a teasing smile. “Got too much free time, so I thought I’d stir up some fun.”
Emily ignored her and led the group to the room. Sophia didn’t bother her further, but kept a firm grip on the knife as she looked at Violetta. “Violetta, let’s get this started–just like you planned.”
Violetta looked at the knife in Sophia’s hand, swallowing hard before forcing out the words: “We haven’t even ordered yet.”
Too nervous to give the menu directly to Sophia, Violetta just passed it to Caius. With a look that wasn’t happy, Caius took the menu, sat beside Sophia, and said, “Sophia, why don’t you order for us?”
Everyone looked at each other as Caius casually sat next to Sophia. They settled in, but kept their eyes on the knife. Sophia chuckled, “Relax, guys. It’s just for protection.”
She asked Ralston for a clean towel, wrapped up the knife casually, and put it in her bag. Smiling playfully, she told him, “I really like this knife–just add it to the damages. The Bennett family will pay for it.
Ralston didn’t dare say a word. In his forty–plus years, he’d never met a girl this wild.
Thanks to Sophia’s wild actions and the knife in her bag, Emily didn’t dare cause more trouble. Usually, everyone would leave after dinner, but Sophia decided to stay longer.
Caius looked at her, hesitating to say something. Sophia frowned and snapped impatiently, “What do you want?”
Caius said, “Mira asked me to bring you something.”

She opened the container, and the strong, sour smell hit her nose.

Caius said, “Sorry.”
“Tell Mira thanks for me,” Sophia said. “Now, go away.”
Caius said, “But-”
Sophia cut him off, annoyed, “Just mind your own business.”
Caius looked uneasy, took a few hesitant steps, and kept looking back, worried about her since Emily and those fans were still there.
Seeing this, Sophia glared and snapped, “Get lost already.”
This time, Caius left without looking back. When Sophia turned around, she saw Violetta nearby. Arms crossed, she watched Violetta with a teasing smile. “What are you staring at, Violetta?”
Violetta asked, “So, what did Caius just give you?”
