Sophia’s sudden shout made Emily’s legs shake. The crazy fans outside, who had been watching Emily worried she might get bullied, were stumped on they heard Sophia scream so loud.
Ingrid rushed in, yelling, “Sophia, what the heck are you doing? Let Emily go now, or we won’t hold back.” Emily, with her face pale, dras barely able to
stand.
Sophia blinked. “You really want me to let her go? Fine, but don’t come crying to me later.”
As soon as she let go, Emily ran out fast like an arrow. Ingrid and the others stared blankly, and by the time they reacted, Emily was gone. The crazy fans froze together, totally stunned.
One fan finally snapped out of it and said, “Wait, what just happened? Why did she run like that? Did she even pay?”
The other fans all turned and looked at her, freezing the scene. Sophia burst out laughing happily. “Emily was trying to skip out on the bill. I was helping catch her, but you guys told me to let her go.”
Sophia sighed dramatically and shrugged. “Well, you’re on your own now.”
Their faces changed instantly. Ingrid, angry and furious, snapped, “Why didn’t you explain clearly?”
Sophia’s smile disappeared as she rolled her eyes. “Not my fucking problem.”
Ingrid was furious. She texted Emily, but got no reply. She stomped her foot angrily and paced back and forth. Just then, Ralston came out from the restroom and asked, “Who was trying to run out without paying?”
Sophia, grinning excitedly, told Ralston, “It’s Emily. She just drove off. Probably not coming back.”
Ralston’s face darkened. Sophia smirked and said, “See? I told you this would happen, but you didn’t listen.”
Ralston looked at the group and his face softened a little. “It’s okay. She ran out without paying, but you are still here.”
Hearing that, Ingrid immediately protested, “That’s not fair. Emily invited us, booked the room, and ordered food. What’s that got to do with us?”
“We don’t have any money,” one of them complained. “You can’t just bully us because we’re young.”
Another girl said, “Exactly. Go complain to Emily. We’re broke anyway.”
Sophia sat back, eating her food as she watched everything happen with a smile.
She called out lazily, “Ralston, looks like they’re trying to run out without paying. Want me to call the police?”
The mention of police made everyone flinch. Ingrid asked, “How much?”
Ralston had the waiter bring the bill and said, “Since you kids are so young, I’ll knock a little off. 100 thousand.”
The girls gasped loudly. “100 thousand? Are you crazy?”
“You’re just scamming us because we’re young. Just wait–I’m posting this online and letting everyone see what a rip–off this place is.”
“I’m putting this online. This place is a total scam. We barely ate anything, and you want 100 thousand? Do you think we’re fools?”
“Let’s expose this scammer and show everyone what a rip–off place this is. I want to see who’d come here after this.”
“Yeah, we should definitely expose him. This is straight–up bullying.”
Everyone kept talking, grabbing their phones to film Ralston. Meanwhile, Sophia was munching on her beef, swinging her legs as she watched everything

happen.
Sophia said, “Told you, Ralston. You should’ve listened to me look at the mess you’re in.”
Ralston’s face darkened quickly as he said, “100 thousand is already the discounted price. If you want to embarrass me, go ahead, see if I care.
“Listen, I’ve run this place for almost ten years. All prices are clear here. No one’s ever said my prices were unfair.
“I already gave you a deal since I know Emily, and you still are unthankful. You’re just terrible.
Ralston’s face turned red, and he shook with anger. Sophia, eating her food, did the math. “100 thousand split nineteen ways–that’s less than 6
thousand each. Ralston, you’re way too soft.”
The girls looked shocked, their eyes big. “6 thousand each? This place is definitely a scam. What kind of crappy place charges that much? We should go live–I’m exposing this greedy manager right now.”
“Even the fancy restaurants I went to charged less than 3 hundred per person, and you want 6 thousand? That’s highway robbery. I’m exposing you.”
A girl lifted her phone, ready to go live, and threatened, “Either give us the real price now, or I’ll put you on blast for everyone to see.”
Ralston’s face turned furious. He took a deep breath and snapped, “Everything is clearly priced here. Even a bottle of water has its price marked for all to
see.
“Emily’s been here twice. She knows exactly what we charge. If you don’t believe me, go ask her.
“She booked here, but now you’re the ones using it. Since she ran off, I have no choice but to hold you responsible. If you can’t pay, you’ll have to chase
her down.”
When Ralston softened a little, Ingrid puffed up, thinking he was backing down.
“We will find Emily, but we’re not paying this bill,” Ingrid said, then motioned for everyone to leave.
