The Heart Left Behind (Cole and Yvonne) novel Chapter 137

"You were the one who called me to come and be with the children."

Yvonne was a little humiliated. She was the high and mighty CEO of Langley Group. When had she ever been berated like this?

"I thought you'd be able to spend time with the children." The gall she had trying to blame this on me!

I held the boys' hands. "Yvonne, I'm not Jared. I don't need to put up with you."

I previously had an argument with her regarding the children's education. I wasn't going to give in at that moment. "If you're really so busy that you can't even look after the children, hand them over to me."

I wasn't as busy as her.

Yvonne furrowed her brows tightly. She snatched Jonas' hand and pulled him into her arms. "I'll never."

"I hope you keep your word."

I was a little disappointed seeing the obedient Jonas sticking to Yvonne. My relationship with him in the past few days had deteriorated. On the contrary, he was really clingy to Yvonne, whom he barely saw.

Even though I was disappointed, I hoped that Jonas would feel better soon.

"Let's head there to play," Xavier said impatiently. I looked at Jonas and told him to sit tight. Then, I took Xavier over.

I looked back at Jonas from time to time. Perhaps Yvonne was really humiliated as she didn't whip out her phone again.

"Mommy won't lose him." I heard a hint of displeasure in Xavier's tone.

"Are you jealous of Jonas?" I was amused. Children sure liked to compare with each other.
