Yvonne felt a little guilty.

With a sigh, she logged off the video call.

"Jonas, you don't have to be so understanding."

I wasn't around, and Jonas had no demands at all. He treated her like a stranger. He didn't make a fuss, and neither did he ask for any food. He even told her to attend the meeting while he waited here alone.

"Jonas, I…"

Before Yvonne could finish her sentence, the call came once more. She was rather annoyed.

Just when she was about to hang up the call, Jonas grabbed her wrist. "Mommy, I'm fine."

Jonas pointed to where Yvonne had pointed at a moment ago and then pointed to where they were. "I'll help reserve seats for Xavier and Daddy. Go to your meeting."

Yvonne was still hesitant, but Jonas quickly answered the call on her behalf.

Yvonne told the people on the other end of the line to wait for a while. She looked at Jonas guiltily. "I'll be quick. Wait right here. Don't go anywhere."

She headed to the corner while looking back at Jonas from time to time.

Jonas obediently waved his hand at her while looking around for me and Xavier.

"Where did Daddy go?" Jonas thought that we must have gone somewhere else to play.

Jonas scanned around and suddenly saw a familiar figure in the midst of the crowd. He completely forgot what Yvonne told him and followed the person.

Yvonne finished the meeting and returned to where Jonas was supposed to be, only to find him not there.

"Jonas? Jonas?"

Yvonne was sweating profusely, her heart beating so hard it felt like it was about to pop out.

Someone saw that she was almost breaking down and asked her kindly, "Are you looking for your child?"
