"What's going on?" Darren looked at me in disbelief.
"Did you already send someone to investigate me before this?" he asked.
Darren had expected that I wouldn't be easy to deal with, but he never expected me to have already planned things out in advance.
"Mr. Holt, you gathered so many people to target me. I'm just giving you a taste of your own medicine," I said coldly.
I watched their shocked expressions in satisfaction. "As for Xavier, I'll educate him myself."
Xavier definitely needed to be disciplined, but now wasn't the time.
Another one of the men looked at me with tears in his eyes. "Mr. Joplin, as a fellow parent, could you please show mercy to my son?"
These people had discarded all their dignity as they begged me, but did anyone show Jonas mercy back then?
I intended for them to feel every bit of pain they inflicted on Jonas.
I wasn't planning on letting Jonas find out about this, but I didn't expect Xavier to spill everything when he visited Jonas during Jonas' rehabilitation that afternoon.
"I can't believe Daddy really went after those kids for your sake. They're all our classmates. Don't you feel guilty at all?" Xavier said in a self-righteous manner.
Jonas looked at him with an incredulous expression. "They were the ones who locked me up. If it weren't for them, I wouldn't be in this state right now. Why should I feel guilty about it?"
Not a single one of them had visited him at the hospital. Could they really sleep peacefully at night after what they did?
Jonas knew that Xavier never liked him. Xavier always acted like Jonas being older meant Jonas should shoulder more responsibility. Yet Jonas' silence seemed to have just made Xavier's behavior grow worse.
