The Heart Left Behind (Cole and Yvonne) novel Chapter 352

I pleaded to Lorraine, and after about ten minutes, her mood finally improved.

I had Murphy drive us back to the villa. Lorraine had been through too much today, so I wanted to spend some quality time with her.

On the way back, Lorraine would occasionally glance at me.

I thought she was still feeling the shock of learning that Gerald wasn't her biological father.

"Are you still upset?" I asked.

I had originally planned to wait until I found her parents to tell her, but looking at her at that moment, I couldn't resist giving her some good news. "Actually, I already started looking for your parents when I first found out about this."

The dim look in Lorraine's eyes suddenly brightened. She had never really experienced familial love growing up. She would probably be very happy to find her biological parents.

She couldn't help but imagine what would happen if she were reunited with them. Would they hug and cry, or would she blame them for not taking good care of her?

Lorraine's expression changed with her thoughts.

One moment, she would have a smile on her lips, and another, she would look dejected.

"It looks like I'm under quite a bit of pressure if you're looking forward to it so much." I patted her head.

I said helplessly, "I haven't found them yet. I'll tell you more when I have, okay?"

"Don't you even have any clues?" Lorraine asked.

She touched her belly, hoping that her baby would be able to meet their real grandparents. If it weren't for her physical limitations at the moment, she would definitely have looked for her parents with Cole.

"There are some clues, but nothing's certain yet, so it'll take some time," I responded.

I touched Lorraine's face, and some inexplicable force seemed to push me to give it a pinch.

"But you don't have to worry. I'll do everything I can to find your parents. Trust me, okay?" I continued.

Lorraine's eyes sparkled once again.
