Watching George standing at the entrance, beaming and greeting guests, Megan and Jeanne walked over with smiles.
"Mr. Weiss, you look to be in even better spirits today. You must be delighted."
He looked at them and laughed heartily. "Delighted? How could I not be delighted? Audrey will definitely be happy to see you both here.
"Ms. Turner, you and Audrey have been friends since childhood. I remember she helped you a lot when she was young. Now that you're successful, please don't forget about us. If there's a chance for cooperation, we can definitely work together."
These words immediately made Megan uncomfortable.
Sometimes, after rising to success, the most unwelcome topic was the past, especially the parts one would rather forget.
To escape from her troubled past, she even abandoned Nolan, showing just how much she disliked her former self.
Now, with just one sentence from George, it seemed she owed everything to their charity, which upset her.
"Heh... Mr. Weiss, you must be joking. I heard Audrey is with Shaun now. With the Baxter family backing her, she probably doesn't even care about the Megan Corporation. If anyone is to be taken care of, it should be me looking to you for help from now on."
He was pleased with her response, but his expression darkened when she continued.
"But is it true that both of them are together? What about Nolan? I remember I told Audrey before not to be with him. He's not a good person. Otherwise, I wouldn't have divorced him. But she didn't listen and fell for him. So, what's the truth behind all of this now?"
