The crowd started asserting their opinions again.
"Are you kidding me? Everyone here is a wealthy big shot. He's just an ordinary guy on top of being a big liar! So, isn't it normal for him to help you like that?" someone said.
"That's right. If that's what it takes to be a good person, then there would be too many of them in the world," a second person agreed.
"Most importantly, how could you trust him just because he helped you? Haven't you thought about how he was using the opportunity to trick you on purpose?" A third person asserted their conspiracy theory.
"No wonder you can only be a janitor here. You're dumb!" A fourth person criticized her.
As Jennifer was facing a barrage of criticism, she was terrified. She wanted to explain herself, but she was too scared to do it.
At that moment, Nick said solemnly, "Jennifer has made herself clear, so I hope everyone can stop targeting her. After all, she's a great employee!"
With that, everyone at the scene stopped judging Jennifer on behalf of Nick. Though, their gazes were still hostile.
Then, Nolan looked at the crowd and said calmly, "I want to thank Jennifer for saying that I'm a good person. I'm not denying that. However, I'm not a saint as well. To many people, I might be worse than the devil himself!
"Meanwhile, to some of you, I'm just a liar. Why? That's because you all think that I have something that shouldn't belong to me. In fact, you think I have something that not even you all deserve to have. So, that makes me a liar, right?"
