Leonard strode forward confidently, all eyes were on him as he approached Nolan.
He said, "Mr. Greene, your speech just now was impressive. But frankly, I don't see how it has anything to do with us. What does concern me, however, is how you've trapped us all here."
He gestured around the room. "Today's Kara's birthday party, yet you've made yourself the center of attention. A day that should've been filled with joy and laughter is now steeped in fear. Don't you think that's inappropriate?"
Nolan remained seated, his gaze calm as he looked at Leonard. "And? What's your point?"
Leonard smiled faintly. "I don't care about your personal grudges, but Kara's happiness is my business. When Kara's unhappy, so am I.
"So, Mr. Greene, I’m asking you to apologize to Kara, to Miss Audrey, and to Mr. Weiss. It’s clear you’ve frightened Mr. Weiss. Although I don't know what happened, as a younger person, scaring your elders is hardly the behavior of someone polite or respectable.
"I've said my piece. Now, I expect you to apologize immediately."
The boldness of Leonard’s words left the room in shock. In such a tense atmosphere, someone actually dared to challenge Nolan.
Then again, when people noticed it was Leonard, it seemed less surprising. After all, he had the Myth Group behind him, a connection few dared to provoke.
"Is Leonard out of his mind? Doesn't he realize Nolan is in a particularly ruthless mood right now? Asking him to apologize is absurd!"
