The price of betrayal (Jack and Ashley) novel Chapter 333

Blake looked at Archie. With a sigh, he said, "Mr. Baxter, you're putting me in a tough spot here. How about we be friends? I'll let you know if there are other pieces suitable for you. Please let me have this today."

He turned to Jennifer and added with a smile, "Jennifer, sell it to me. I'll throw in an extra 10% as well. How does that sound?"

Jennifer was a bit dazed. Clearly nervous, she replied, "I-I guess that's fine."

Blake, almost afraid she might change her mind, immediately pulled out his phone and started tapping away.

It wasn't until he put his phone down that he finally exhaled. He glanced at Archie with a smile. "Sorry, Mr. Baxter, but I just went ahead and got Jennifer's bank account details. The payment's already been made, so there's no point in arguing now."

He then turned to Jennifer with a grin. "Jennifer, I've just transferred 20 million dollars to your account. You can double-check it. The rest will be cleared within the week."

Jennifer nodded at first, but then her eyes widened in shock as she stared at Blake. "H-How much? Did you just say 20 million?"

20 million dollars was an amount most people would never even see in their entire lives.

Jennifer's life, in fact, was far more modest than most. She had physical challenges and had adopted several children.
