Kara's complexion went deathly pale. She couldn't imagine what would have happened if she had consumed the toxic Spirit of Life Serum.
At that moment, she couldn't contain her anger anymore and shouted at Nolan, "Nolan, what did I do to deserve this? How could you poison me? What's your true intention?"
George, although upset, stayed quiet. Clearly, he didn't dare to offend Nolan.
Audrey's face was just as pale. She glanced at Jennifer, who was in agony and crying out on the floor. It seemed the truth no longer needed to be explained.
"Kara, don't... Don't jump to conclusions. Maybe this has nothing to do with Nolan," she said.
After what had just happened, she no longer dared to believe anything. Deep down, she hoped it was all a misunderstanding.
Kara was immediately annoyed upon hearing that. "Audrey, why are you still defending him? The facts are right in front of us! Jennifer is writhing on the ground in pain. How could this be fake?"
"Just because Crystal of Devotion is genuine doesn't mean everything else is. Crystal of Devotion can be bought as long as you have money, but Spirit of Life Serum is different. It's priceless and nearly impossible to obtain. How could Nolan have his hands on it?" Audrey retorted.
"Can't you see how he's treating Leonard? It's just him lashing out in anger after being exposed. Audrey, he wants to hurt me, and yet you're still standing up for him!" Kara exclaimed.
Kara's words left Audrey speechless. Finally, she gazed at the helpless Jennifer and then looked sorrowfully at Nolan.
"Nolan, are you really trying to hurt Kara? Why? Just because she opposes our relationship and hasn't been very kind to you?" In the end, she spoke her mind.
Nolan's face showed no trace of disappointment or sadness. It was as if he had long since grown used to it and was entirely indifferent to Audrey's view of him.
