Ben was momentarily stunned upon hearing this and said, "Ms. Turner, you're the CEO of Megan Corporation? My apologies, I should have known. How could I let you sit down here? Please, come up to the stage."
Megan pointed at Wayne and smiled, saying, "Mr. Stutton, I won't go up. But my father-in-law, Wayne, should have the right to sit on the stage, shouldn't he?"
Ben immediately laughed and replied, "Of course! Please, both of you, come up."
As he spoke, he eagerly led Wayne and Megan to the stage to take their seats.
At this moment, seven or eight more prominent figures arrived to offer their congratulations, and without a doubt, all of them were here to see Megan. This quickly made Megan the center of attention, and Wayne couldn't help but feel a great sense of pride.
The villagers in the audience were all whispering to each other, and many turned their gaze toward Nolan, who was sitting in the corner. Their eyes were filled with a mix of envy and wistfulness.
Wistfulness, not only because Nolan had managed to marry such a beautiful and capable woman, but also because they felt that Nolan was simply not worthy of her.
Just as everything seemed to be winding down, Megan smiled and stood up. "Mr. Stutton, may I say a few words?"
Ben nodded and replied, "Of course, go ahead."
Megan looked at Wayne and teasingly asked, "Wayne, do you want to tell them, or should I?"
