The price of betrayal (Jack and Ashley) novel Chapter 446

"Dad, you've always been a strong, upright man—never afraid of authority, never bowing to anyone, and never letting yourself be pushed around. So, why haven't you asked me why I'm doing all this? Are you really that ashamed of me? Can you trust me one more time?"

Hearing Nolan's heartfelt words, Wayne was momentarily at a loss for what to do.

At that moment, Ben shouted angrily, "What are you all standing around for? Get him off the stage! Once this event is over, if he still refuses to repent, we'll convene a family council and deal with him according to family traditions. This is absolutely outrageous! I refuse to believe we can't handle him."

Nolan turned his gaze toward Ben and spoke calmly yet firmly, "The family council will definitely convene, and today, many people will be on their knees asking for forgiveness. But let me tell you, I definitely won't be one of them!"

Nolan's defiance made Ben's face flush with anger. Wayne, equally infuriated, shouted toward Niall in the audience. "Niall! What are you still sitting there for? Get up here and get your brother off the stage!"

Niall, concerned for Nolan's safety, hurriedly rushed onto the stage. But by then, several young men from the village had already surrounded Nolan, and it seemed they were about to physically drag him and Wayne off the stage.

Niall was livid with rage. "I'll kill whoever dares to lay a hand on my dad or brother!" he roared with fury.

Without hesitation, he grabbed the collar of one of the young men from behind and threw him off the stage. The force with which he did it was so unexpected that the onlookers were left in shock. With Niall's imposing height and his muscular build, he radiated a sense of power that made others hesitate.
