Everyone watching the screen could see Gregory involuntarily shiver, as though he had heard the voice of some vengeful spirit.
The phone was quickly taken by Fang, who respectfully pointed it toward Nolan. Gregory immediately winced when he saw Nolan's face on the screen.
"Mr. Greene, are you still not going to spare me? You promised me that as long as I severed my own arm, you would let me go. Are you going back on your word?"
Gregory personally answered the question, revealing that it was Nolan who had forced him to sever his own arm in order to leave the Eastern State alive.
At that moment, Gregory revealed his body, now missing an arm, and the room fell into complete silence.
Nolan looked at Gregory and said softly, "That'll do for now. Enjoy your retirement. Of course, if you want revenge, I'll be ready for you anytime, anywhere. But you should know that it won't just be an arm next time."
With a casual wave of his hand, Fang immediately ended the call and tossed the phone back to Harold.
Harold was completely stunned. His greatest source of power in the Eastern State didn't even dare breathe freely in front of Nolan. That was how scared he was of him!
It was then Harold realized just how grave of a mistake he had made.
At that moment, Harold's face was filled with bitterness. He looked at Nolan and said, "I always thought I was good at reading people, but it turns out, I've made the biggest mistake of my life today. I've really misjudged you, Nolan."
"Many people have misjudged me, but I don't care! So, Mr. Greene Senior, you're not going to act all arrogant anymore?" asked Nolan coldly.
He then turned to Hoover, who was trembling in the back. "How about you? Are you still going to act as arrogantly as before?"
