The price of betrayal (Jack and Ashley) novel Chapter 531

"What happened? Why are you panicking? Have some decorum!" Owen barked.

Tyson took a deep breath before replying, "Mr. Norberg, I apologize for losing my composure, but something major has happened. The people I brought into the fold—those I recruited—have all disappeared. I suspect they've been kidnapped!

"Mr. Norberg, this isn't a minor issue. These people hold the manufacturing secrets for the Spirit of Life Serum. If they've fallen into the wrong hands, someone could very well replicate the formula!"

"Relax. It's not our competitors," Owen reassured coldly. "At least, I haven't received any intel suggesting otherwise. In the Eastern State—or even the entire southeastern region—no one would dare to oppose us. Myth Group is ours.

"That face is widely known, so no one would make a move against us. If all those people have vanished, the problem must lie with Nolan. Heh, that Nolan… He's proving to be more troublesome than I expected."

Tyson's eyes widened in shock. "You mean the man behind Myth Group? But isn't he supposed to be just an ordinary guy? How could he have such powerful resources?"

Owen chuckled coldly. "No matter how strong he is, it's useless. The Eastern State is our territory. No matter how powerful or formidable someone is, they have to submit to me. I've left him alone, but now he's chosen to strike first. Fine, very well. Just stay safe in the meantime. Once I deal with Nolan, all these problems will resolve themselves."

With that, Owen hung up the phone.

Tyson immediately twisted his face into a bitter grimace.

Stay safe? How? With what?

It was clear that turning to Owen for help was out of the question. All he could do now was hope that Owen would deal with Nolan quickly. Only then could he finally breathe easy.

"Go inform the security team to escort me home immediately. And for the next few days, they'll stay at my house. Their only job is to ensure my safety. You're coming with me too. I don't need you getting into trouble either."
