Nolan nodded and said lightly, "Remove all their fingernails, then break all ten of their fingers. And make sure their mouths are sealed—I don't want to hear their screams. Record every step of the process and send it over to Mr. Norberg."
As he spoke, he sat down on the sofa. He then looked at the trembling Megan and Jeanne. "Are you two scared?" he asked softly.
Scared? How could they not be? In fact, it would be odd if they were not scared!
Megan and Jeanne had seen with their own eyes how Nolan mercilessly ripped out Preston's fingernails, shattered his fingers one by one, and finally brought the hammer down on his head, killing him on the spot.
Who wouldn't be scared by this horrifying scene? Who would dare to claim they weren't? Even someone as stubborn as Megan didn't dare to put up a front at that moment.
"N-Nolan, aren't you afraid? Every single one of these people is a prominent figure in the Eastern State. Not only did you torture them, but you even dared to kill them! You're insane. You must be!"
In Megan's mind, there was only one explanation for such actions. After all, no sane person could do something so extreme.
Nolan looked at her and replied calmly, "Am I insane? Perhaps. To me, torturing or not torturing them doesn't matter all that much. Honestly, if Lense is still alive, I don't even mind letting them go. But deep down, I know Lense is probably dead."
Nolan's gaze dimmed slightly when he came to this part, but the overwhelming killing intent in his eyes burned brighter than ever.
