When Owen was on the phone with Nolan, he had the speakerphone on, so everyone present heard Nolan's arrogant voice. But before they could respond, he had already hung up. His words left them all seething in rage.
"Outrageous! Absolutely outrageous! How dare he threaten us? This is unacceptable, utterly unacceptable!"
"Mr. Vernon, Grandpa, we must teach Nolan a harsh lesson! Let him understand what it means to challenge those about his station!"
"Grandpa, just give the order. With one command, we can clear out the trash surrounding us at any time!"
"That's right! We should track down Nolan, capture him, and break all four of his limbs! Then, we'll hang him from a tree and let everyone see what happens to those who dare go against us!"
The Norbergs were ruthless, each more bloodthirsty than the last. Even the idea of chopping Nolan's limbs and hanging him from a tree for all to see had been voiced openly.
At the same time, Vernon's expression grew darker and more foreboding. "Well, well, Nolan—the so-called boss behind Myth Group. Does he truly think we Norbergs have no one capable of dealing with him? Enough! Stay calm for now. Nolan will be dealt with, and not just dealt with—we'll crush him thoroughly.
"But the pressing matter right now isn't teaching him a lesson. The real urgency lies with our people who are still outside. They are the ones currently in the greatest danger. Call them immediately and have everyone return home at once! Do it now!"
In truth, the family had already begun calling back their members as soon as they realized they were being watched. However, at the time, they hadn't taken it too seriously.
After all, in their eyes, no one would dare to truly harm a member of the Norberg family. At least no one in Eastland or the Eastern State would be bold enough to do so. But now, it seemed that might no longer be the case.
