Geoffrey assumed that Fang was beginning to discuss terms, and his mood brightened instantly. Negotiation was better than no discussion at all.
"Mr. Fang, you may or may not fully understand the strength of the Norbergs. But let me assure you, even if you know a lot, that's just the tip of the iceberg. That's fine, though, because there's plenty of time for us to connect further in the future. You'll eventually come to see what the Norberg family truly represents.
"While I'm not sure how you and Nolan ended up working together or why you've targeted my family, that detail is irrelevant. What matters is that you understand what the correct choice is. You're currently consolidating power in the Eastern State's underworld, recruiting new forces, and preparing for a major battle, aren't you?
"In that case, we are willing to offer 100 million dollars in cash to support your rise to the next level. Additionally, there are a few smaller factions in the Eastern State's underworld that have strong ties to my family. I'm willing to have them pledge their allegiance to you if you're interested. I believe this offer demonstrates our sincerity, doesn't it?"
It had to be said—the terms offered by the Norberg family were indeed quite generous.
However, anyone familiar with the true wealth of the Norberg family would know that Geoffrey was still holding back. If he were truly serious, the price should have been far higher.
As Fang listened to Geoffrey and glanced at Nolan's impassive expression, he let out a cold laugh. "Mr. Geoffrey, your offer is quite generous. A hundred million dollars in cash, huh? Tsk, tsk, that's really a lot. But do you think I have never seen that much money before?
"To an ordinary person, 100 million dollars might be a fortune. But for someone like me, who operates in the underworld, 100 million isn't exactly something worth getting excited over. If that's all you have you can offer, then there's no point in continuing this call. Goodbye."
