Last words? The Duo of Doom had none.
But the desire to live? That was real.
Seeing that even the Benton family's name couldn't threaten Pierce and that even Shelby Benton's reputation meant nothing to him, the Duo of Doom finally realized they were truly out of options.
Just as Pierce was about to strike, the Duo of Doom seemed to have remembered something.
They turned their desperate gazes toward Nolan and shouted, "Mr. Greene, please save us! If you can convince Pierce to let us live, you have our guarantee that we will never be your enemies again. Not only that, but we will persuade the Benton family to stay out of your affairs. Mr. Greenem this is a deal worth making!"
At this point, the Duo of Doom had no choice but to seek Nolan's help.
After all, Pierce had come for Nolan, which meant their relationship was far from ordinary.
Under these circumstances, perhaps only Nolan could save them.
Was it worth it?
On the surface, it sounded like a good deal.
Fang held the umbrella as Nolan slowly approached them.
Looking at the now-desperate Duo of Doom, Nolan smiled faintly and said, "Weren't you both quite arrogant when you arrived? What happened? Chickening out now? As far as I know, anyone who reaches your level shouldn't be afraid of death. So tell me, what's this all about?"
These words made the Duo of Doom's expressions turn even grimmer.
It was no different from Nolan outright calling them cowards who were afraid to die.
But then again, who would willingly choose death if there was a chance to live?
