Harper glared at Geoffrey with venom in her eyes.
"You want to live? Fine, I'll let you live!" she spat out through gritted teeth.
The moment these words left her mouth, Geoffrey's eyes lit up with excitement.
Pierce, however, frowned slightly. He didn't want Harper to make this choice, because it wasn't a decision she should be making.
But before he could say anything, Harper turned toward Nolan.
"Mr. Greene, you said that you'll leave everyone's fate in my hands, right?"
Nolan nodded. "That's right. So, you're going to spare him?"
Harper's eyes flashed with icy determination as she replied through gritted teeth, "No. I just think killing him would be too merciful. The crimes he has committed are simply too horrifying. He's a monster who deserves to rot in hell. He deserves to die a thousand deaths.
"But I don't want him to die. I want him to live, to suffer despair and agony every second of his life. I want to cut off his manhood and his hands so that he will live in perpetual misery for the rest of his life!"
Her words shocked Nolan, but after a moment, he nodded in understanding.
After all, anyone who read the documents detailing Geoffrey's crimes would likely feel the same urge to tear him apart.
"As you wish," Nolan said.
With Nolan's approval, Harper turned her cold gaze back to Geoffrey.
"You'll live, but you'll regret having been spared."
At that moment, Geoffrey was on the verge of madness.
