The Ruthless Lycan King Fell For His Slave Mate novel Chapter 99

“It worked,” Julian said in awe, lifting his hands in front of his face. He could feel his wolf’s power surging through him, potent and unrestricted.

“Really?” Lyra asked, rising on her elbow. They were lying side by side on the examination table after a frantic lovemaking session that left their bodies slick with sweat and out of breath.

“Yes,” Julian confirmed. “He is fully restored.”

“Great!” Lyra exclaimed, feeling thrilled. Leaning towards him, she gave him a kiss. He sunk his hand into her hair and held her in place, deepening the kiss. When they pulled apart, there was an amused smile on Julian’s face.

“What is it?” she asked him, curious.

“Yuri is impatient to tear that bastard into pieces,” he revealed.

Lyra nodded. “That makes four of us.”

Rae was also excited and already urging Lyra to get out there and ruin Nile’s grand plan. With Yuri by her side, she felt invincible. Lyra felt the same way about having Julian with her, but she knew it was crucial to have a good plan before trying anything.

“We’ll take him down this time,” Julian said with conviction. “Spencer told me that he is holding a banquet in the palace.”

“Yes,” Lyra confirmed with a nod. “He has invited Alphas, Lunas, and important Elders from all over the kingdom.”

“Have you heard from Zero and Beryl?” Julian asked her.

Lyra shook her head. “No. But since he hasn’t captured them, I assume they escaped the palace safely. They must be keeping a low profile and working on a plan. None of the pack leaders in attendance today seem to be aware of Nile’s true identity.”

“This would be a good time to expose him,” Julian said. “We have the audience. Once we reveal his true identity, it will be over for him. Also, with all these Alphas around, we have enough warriors to take down however many rogues he has brought into the palace.”

He was right, it was a great opportunity to let everyone know what was going on. But what if Nile turned things around on them? He could claim that Julian was the impostor, and with the power of the witches on his side, Lyra was afraid he would be able to convince the others.

She would not be worried about that if she was in control of her own powers. All along, Nile had been using a talisman that prohibited her from using her powers without his permission. If she tried to use her influence on the guests, he would know instantly and shut them off.

“I know, but it’s risky,” she told Julian. “We have no one else on our side. It’ll be easy for him to make the others think we are the impostors. I cannot use my powers right now, so I cannot help us get the upper hand.”

Juian nodded, looking thoughtful. As much as he wanted to take the Rogue King down, he did not want to put Lyra at risk. They would have one shot at reclaiming the palace, and he did not want to ruin it. He had just gotten back his power and was impatient to get rid of Nile. But, he knew doing so without a good plan could quickly go wrong.
