"Hello, is Mr. Finnegan home?" Lucas looked at Angelina and asked with a smile.
"He's home. What's the matter?" A look of doubt appeared on Angelina's face when she gazed at Lucas. After all, they thought that Aiden only had a stroke of luck the other day.
Before things became clear, Angelina decided not to speak rashly, for she saw a Rolls-Royce in front of the entrance.
When Aiden heard the noise outside, he walked out of the room. The moment he saw Lucas, a smile played on his lips. Now, I can prove to them whether I was merely lucky that day.
There hadn't been any news from the other party for the past two days. Aiden initially thought that they had forgotten about the matter. It wasn't like he could go looking for them, for it would make him look too eager to strike up a relationship with them, and he didn't like that.
Nonetheless, he still hoped that they would contact him. He didn't care about what others thought, but he was concerned about Angelina's impression of him.
All the same, that didn't seem to matter now.
"Hi, how are you?" Aiden said calmly.
Linda got to her feet. Over the past three years, no one had ever come to their residence to look for Aiden.
The moment she registered Lucas' presence, she exchanged glances with Angelina. Both of them appeared doubtful.
"I'm sorry, Mr. Finnegan. Old Mr. Webb has been busy for the past two days, so he only told me to come and pick you up today. He has to thank you for saving the young master's life the other day." There was an amiable smile on Lucas' face as he glanced at Aiden.
"Alright. Let's go." Aiden nodded upon hearing that. Since he had been invited, there was no reason for him not to go.
Just as Aiden was ready to leave the house, he took a look at the bag on the floor and gave up on the idea of picking it up.
"Are you going there on your own, Aiden? You said you'd take us with you," Linda suddenly said.
"Do you feel guilty or something?" Angelina scoffed.
"Do you mind if I bring a few people along?" Aiden asked Lucas.
"Since we owe you a favor, you certainly can bring a few people with you." Lucas put on a smile and nodded.
Since there was only one car, Harvey, Linda, and Angelina had no choice but to use their vehicle as they followed behind.
"Your family members are pretty interesting, Mr. Finnegan," Lucas remarked with a smile.
He could see that Aiden's family members didn't take him seriously. It could be even said that Aiden had a low position in the family.
Even Old Mr. Webb thinks highly of him. How is it possible that he's so insignificant in his family? Could it be that the Grays fail to see how valuable he is? Or is he merely lucky? Lucas was deathly curious.
"Haha, I'm sorry you had to see all this," Aiden replied impassively. He didn't mind what the older man said, but he decided not to talk to him any further.
When Lucas realized that Aiden wasn't a talkative person, he decided to keep his mouth shut. He was a tactful person, after all. One had to know he was the one managing all the affairs in the Webb Family. As such, he was good at observing others and finding out what was on their minds.
Presently, Angelina was driving while her parents were in the backseat.
"I remember you telling me that Addie saved the young master of the Webb Family. It doesn't seem fake, though."
