However, when Jennifer thought about the nightmares she had been having, she gritted her teeth and endured it.
Just as she finished tidying up her room, she heard a knock on the door.
She didn't think much of it, assuming someone had brought something over. But when she opened the door, she saw two young men.
"You!" Jennifer wasn't stupid. The moment she saw them, she knew something was wrong. She instinctively tried to shut the door, but it was too late.
She was no match for martial artists.
After knocking Jennifer unconscious, the two young men carried her away from Prosperity Church.
…
Just as Daniel was about to leave Ashcroft Group, he received an email.
When he opened it, he found a photo of Jennifer tied up.
"If you don't want her dead, come to East Mountain."
Daniel chuckled. Lately, Jennifer had truly been affected by all types of bad energy. She had unbelievably bad luck. She actually got abducted!
Daniel wasn't particularly eager to intervene, but he was curious to see who was foolish enough to pull this stunt.
He had planned to fish for his targets, anyway. He just didn't expect Jennifer to be the unfortunate bait.
On the way to East Mountain, Daniel had just left the downtown area of Qranross when a masked man inside an abandoned factory in East Mountain received the news.
"Tsk tsk, what a devoted husband! The moment he got the message, he rushed over without hesitation. How stupid!" the man sneered before glancing at Jennifer, who was tied to a chair.
The gloomy sky darkened even more as dusk approached.
As Daniel's car reached the mountainside, a loud clap of thunder rumbled, followed by a torrential downpour.
He listened to the cheerful music playing in his car, looking utterly at ease.
