Betrayed, But Not Defeated novel Chapter 139

Daniel looked up and saw a woman walking out slowly. She was draped in a long veil, and her face was hidden behind a mask. At the same time, the faint fragrance of peach blossoms filled the air.

"The Peach Blossom Fairy is stepping in?"

"Today is truly eye-opening! Does this mean the Immortal Syndicate is backing down?"

The crowd stared in disbelief, and their eyes widened as they took in the unexpected turn of events.

Regina Sinclair gazed at Daniel, with her bright eyes carrying a hint of pleading.

Daniel withdrew his hand and shot Theodore a cold glare. "Get lost."

Theodore's face turned crimson. As someone over a hundred years old, he found being reprimanded so publicly truly humiliating.

Regina's voice was sharp and icy. "Mr. Lockwood, I expect a proper explanation for today's incident. If you can't provide one, then you will be dealt with according to the syndicate's rules. Do you understand?"

Her words sent a shudder through Theodore's body. He gritted his teeth and took a step back. "Yes."

"Fellow cultivator, please come with me."

Regina's eyes seemed to speak on their own, carrying a multitude of shifting emotions.

"Alright." Daniel nodded.

Charlene stood frozen in shock, only snapping back to reality when Daniel gave her a slight tug.

"Daniel, do fairies really exist in this world?" Charlene asked in a whisper.

"Of course. Aren't you one?"
