Betrayed, But Not Defeated novel Chapter 165

As soon as Bryson left, the room erupted into chaos.

Howard scanned his gaze across the committee. "Everyone, you heard Mr. Walsh. With the Cranes backing us, we'll get through this together! I should remind anyone who has ulterior motives of something, though.

"Don't do anything you shouldn't, or the consequences will be costly!"

Howard's gaze shifted toward a few material suppliers in the corner.

As long as they were united and solid, they still had a chance to win. But if anyone secretly sabotaged them, they would all face bankruptcy.

The suppliers who were being watched immediately caught on.

"Don't look at me, Mr. Pace! We'd never dare to offend the Cranes! Don't worry; we know what's at stake!"

"Exactly! You don't have to look at us like this. We've also run into some issues lately and had to sell our stocks, but we still have the control rights. It'll be fine—don't worry about it!"

Upon hearing this, Howard fell silent. Who did they think they were fooling?

However, as the director, he didn't have much authority—his role was more about advising and offering guidance, and his ability to enforce was quite limited.

Yet, everyone in the room was sharp. Seeing someone preparing to back out, even Howard felt a twinge of temptation.

Bryson had come to like Carl despite his unruliness, considering he was very committed to sabotaging his ex-employer.

"Mr. Walsh, I've gone to take a look. Daniel's warehouse is shutting down! There's barely anyone working there!" Carl ran excitedly toward Bryson, reporting.

Bryson jolted from his seat. "For real?"
