Betrayed, But Not Defeated novel Chapter 218

Daniel, who had been preparing to take action from a distance, was stunned.

He finally understood how Amelia had become a police officer. She was no ordinary person—she was a martial artist. And not just any martial artist, but one with an incredibly unique martial arts style.

That headbutt was extremely unusual. Daniel even suspected that if he were to face her attack, he might not be able to dodge it.

Amelia finally stopped moving, while the assassin—who had been perched on her head—was flung into a nearby wall.

"Ah!" Amelia snapped back to her senses and quickly ran over.

"Hey! Don't die on me! Oh no!" Amelia shook the assassin's body vigorously. But at this point, his body was so limp that he flopped lifelessly with every shake.

"I'm doomed!" Amelia pursed her lips.

Then, she complained while looking at the dead assassin, "I told you not to resist! Great, now I have to write a 300-word report again! This is killing me!"

Daniel glanced at Amelia's back, his expression dazed. But he could only shake his head helplessly.

As for this unlucky guy… Forget it. Daniel didn't even care to figure out who had sent him. Someone who died in such a pathetic way wasn't worth the effort.

Daniel took one last look at Amelia before turning back toward the villa.

Meanwhile, Amelia finally accepted the reality that she had headbutted the assassin to death. With no other choice, she grabbed the assassin's legs and dragged him all the way back to her car.

"Oh shoot! I almost forgot!" Amelia smacked her forehead before running back to the driver's seat, pulling out a device to scan the assassin's face.

Originally feeling a little down, she suddenly pumped her fist. "Yes! Finally, I made a contribution! Hehe! I knew this was the right choice. What's this called? Oh! Biding time until the prey gets caught!"

Amelia casually tossed the assassin into the trunk before returning to the driver's seat, exhilarated.

But just as she was about to close the car door, she frowned and stepped out again.
