Betrayed, But Not Defeated novel Chapter 224

"The first bottle is the most important! Let's keep it!"

Jennifer let out a long breath, the tension in her shoulders easing.

She immediately ordered the first bottle of their newly produced cosmetic product to be sealed and stored.

In the past, she had taken over several of Daniel's businesses through manipulation.

They were enough to grant her wealth and luxury for a lifetime but not true fulfillment.

This was different.

Jennifer Cosmetics wasn't just another company. It was something she had built with her own hands.

The company was funded personally and launched step by step.

And now, as the first bottle came off the production line, a wave of overwhelming happiness filled her chest.

Her eyes burned with emotion.

"Hibari Corporation has an endless product line. This is just the beginning!"

She clenched her fist, determination flashing in her gaze.

Then, she turned to Zidane, declaring, "It's time to fight back!"

"Damn right! It's time!" Zidane nodded in agreement.

"But before that, I have interesting news for you."

Jennifer raised an eyebrow. "What news could that be?"

Zidane smirked.

"The Ashcroft Group just released an official statement. They claim their genetic serum can cure congenital heart disease!

"And with this announcement, they've stolen the spotlight!"

His eyes gleamed with amusement.

Jennifer gave him a curious look.

"What does this have to do with you? And why do you sound like you were waiting for this to happen?"

Zidane burst into laughter. "Because I was!"

Still grinning, he continued, "I just checked, and Daniel doesn't have a pharmaceutical license!

"Which means that no matter how effective his serum is, he can't legally sell it!"

Jennifer's eyes widened as she finally grasped the situation.

Then, she laughed.

"Oh, now this is interesting!"

Zidane leaned in. His expression grew increasingly excited.

"Mr. Anderson just called. He doesn't want to get involved personally, so he's asked us to use some of our connections to block Daniel's licensing approval."

A wicked grin spread across his face.

"As long as Daniel can't sell it… Forget about all the enemies he's made.
