Daniel's previous order forbidding grandmasters from entering Qranross had clearly been treated as a joke. Since that was the case, he didn't mind making an example out of someone to warn the others.
However, he had yet to decide on the target. At the very least, it had to be someone influential. Otherwise, even killing them wouldn't serve his purpose.
Just as Daniel was about to reach the villa district, a figure suddenly appeared in front of his car. He reacted instantly and slammed on the brakes with a sharp screech, but he still ended up hitting the person.
Without hesitation, he quickly got out of his car to check on them.
"Young man, did you do that on purpose?"
The speaker was an elderly man with white hair and beard, but his high-ridged temples and ruddy complexion made it clear that he wasn't some frail old man who had just been hit by a car.
Daniel ignored him and calmly took out his phone. "I'll call an ambulance. You should get checked first," he said.
"That won't be necessary," the old man said.
Before Daniel could react, the old man suddenly reached for his leg.
Despite the close distance, Daniel reacted with ease, swiftly dodging to the side.
His expression turned cold. "Looks like you didn't come here with good intentions."
"Young man, today I'm going to see just how capable you really are!"
The old man let out a strange laugh before suddenly springing off the ground. His hands blurred with afterimages as he launched an attack.
Daniel frowned at the old man's strange behavior. Though he had attacked the moment they met, none of his strikes targeted vital spots. It felt more like he was testing him.
He held back, choosing not to kill the old man outright. Instead, he countered and exchanged moves, keeping the fight even. With his reinforced body and energy-infused strength, it didn't take long before the old man could no longer hold on, baring his teeth in pain.
"Enough, I'm done! That really hurts!"
The old man shook his hand, frowning as he let out a snort.
