Betrayed, But Not Defeated novel Chapter 24

"My godfather and the Keaton family won't let you go! No matter your strength, once you've offended the Dooly family, you can just wait to die!" James spat out black blood, purple veins appearing on his face.

He had poisoned himself.

Daniel hadn't expected James to make such a choice. After thinking for a moment, he called Alden to handle the situation here.

Although he hadn't gotten any useful information, dealing a blow to Omari was still good.

Looking at the boxes filled with valuable items, he felt a unique spiritual energy fluctuation.

He was immediately intrigued and approached the box. Inside was a small bronze cauldron about the size of a palm. It looked delicate and didn't resemble an antique. Instead, it seemed like a finely crafted piece of art.

However, the tiny cauldron contained an intense spiritual energy. Unfortunately, it was sealed, and opening it carelessly might destroy it, which would be a waste.

Daniel wasn't in a hurry to absorb the spiritual energy. He placed the cauldron into the Celestial Soul Pearl and waited for Alden to arrive.

At Geller Cosmetics, Jennifer watched Charlene sign document after document, pouting as she said, "Charlene, you're really going to hit it big this time!"

"Alright. Do you really have to be jealous? Don't worry. Since we're best friends, I'll leave the procurement of raw materials for the cosmetics to you!" Charlene said generously.

Jennifer knew just how profitable the business was. She had been feeling a little down about the company's operations, but now, with Charlene's orders, she didn't have to worry about the future.

"By the way, Daniel should be back by now, right?" Although her mood had lifted, she suddenly realized she had stopped tormenting Daniel and felt a little out of place.
