Jennifer wasn't a fool nor willing to tolerate Jacob's insults. She hung up the phone directly.
"Charlene, what exactly happened to Daniel?" she asked, staring into Charlene's eyes.
Charlene hesitated for a moment. After all, Daniel was still Jennifer's husband, no matter what.
"Jennifer, Daniel... seems to have recovered," Charlene said cautiously, then looked at Jennifer's reaction.
"Impossible!" Jennifer's eyes widened, instinctively rebuffing the statement.
She squeezed her phone and collapsed onto the couch. "This is absolutely impossible! Charlene, you're lying to me, aren't you?"
At that moment, Jennifer also felt guilty. She had tormented Daniel after he became a fool. If he had really recovered...
She couldn't even bring herself to imagine what would happen next. She looked up at Charlene. "This is all fake, right?"
"Jennifer, you're Daniel's wife, after all. It's a good thing that he recovers, right?" Charlene spoke with mixed emotions, but at least she remained rational.
From now on, she was determined never to get involved with Daniel again. She made up her mind, and with that, she mustered the courage to face Jennifer.
Jennifer suddenly erupted in anger. "You don't understand! Now, Daniel's caused even more trouble! He killed the members of Black Wolf Syndicate!"
Charlene already knew about Daniel's abilities through Scarlet, so she wasn't surprised by Jennifer's words.
"Black Wolf Syndicate? I happen to know their leader. They have a group of people working for them and a certain demand for cosmetics. How about I talk to them with you? These people can resolve any issue as long as there's money involved!" she suggested, glancing at Jennifer.
Jennifer exhaled in relief. "They say Black Wolf Syndicate is ruthless. We have to settle this matter first! Once the Black Wolf Syndicate is dealt with, I'll settle the score with Daniel!"
Charlene didn't waste any time. After notifying Scarlet to transfer the money, she immediately took Jennifer to Black Wolf Syndicate's headquarters.
