Jennifer was utterly stunned at this point.
She kept retreating, her face filled with terror.
Just moments before, Sonia was small and hunched. Now, she was over 6'5", with fine black hair sprouting all over her body. Her previously wrinkled face resembled a cat's.
"What... What are you going to do? I've already paid!" Jennifer kept backing away, trying to distance herself from Sonia.
However, her legs wouldn't obey her.
"You bitch, how dare you harm me! Who sent you? If you don't speak up, I'll skin you alive!" Sonia glared at Jennifer with a look full of malice.
Jennifer was so frightened that she started crying.
"I didn't harm you! I gave you my husband's birth date! He was always a fool; who would have known he'd suddenly recover? I only wanted him to remain a fool! I never wanted to harm you!" She could not escape and could only curl up on the ground.
"Bitch! How dare you lie to me! The birthdate you gave me isn't that of an ordinary person! The person is a cultivator! Damn it!" Sonia screamed and lunged at Jennifer.
"No!" Jennifer instinctively raised her hand.
But the expected pain never came. Instead, Sonia was thrown back, far away from her.
"Jennifer, you really never learn! The last time you tried hypnosis, and this time you actually brought a corrupt cultivator to me? These corrupt cultivators are usually hard to find, yet you delivered one to my door..." Daniel said with a mocking smile, looking at Jennifer.
Jennifer instinctively moved toward him.
He raised his hand and slapped her across the face. "Stay away! Why do you always want to harm me? Do you really think I can't deal with you?"
She cupped her face, her eyes teary as she looked at him.
But in the end, she lost. She could only hang her head low, hiding the resentment on her face.
She longed for him to return to being a fool.
