"Don't be too hard on yourself, Little One. Your assessment is correct. These people mostly deal in words, brides and threats. Especially in the King's Castle. They will not risk being an outcast here, but that doesn’t mean that they won't try things away from the king. You did good tonight, though."
"You were watching me?"
"The King would trust your safety to no one else.
Remember, you are special, Little One and very important to this kingdom."
I all of a sudden felt very tired. I don't want to be special, I just want to be me. I want to become a warrior, find my mate and ride off into the sunset with my family like a romance movie. Is that too much to ask? I lean into Xander and rest my head on his chest. His arm tightens around me and I just close my eyes breathing in his comforting scent.
The next thing I know I'm swaying, like someone is rocking me gently to sleep. I take a deep breath, and bury my head into the soft fabric I'm laying on. I hear whispers around me though, which is pulling me closer and closer to consciousness, making me grumpy.
"Here Xander, I want her in this guest room, closest to you.
There's a few I still don't trust that might try something tonight.” I chose that moment to open my eyes, take a deep breath in and look around.
"Hey Midge.” Xander whispers. "You fell asleep in the elevator. You're staying here tonight and all day tomorrow, so dont try sneaking out early to go running,”

Why don't I remember the Goddess saying that about a niece and nephew being safe after their mother ridding the world of one of the worst monsters....
I read previously that she might have healing powers if she changes to wolf and lick the wound....
It would be nice to hear about what's happening with the guys. Their thoughts and feelings....
The beginning of the chapter says she will put them in their place, yet she does nothing...
Need to have more of the story to find out about sky's girls and the rest of characters. Book was not finished in my opinion....
I was okay until I started realizing (spoiler) she isn't gonna have 3 mates and only ends up with the twins... So sad, I loved the chemistry between FL and Oliver...

I get that the author is upset that this site has pirated her book, but when you can only access it here or a sketchy app that costs way too much, you can't really blame people. I would've happily bought a paperback or kindle edition of the book, but for some reason that's still not an option....
I am so confused. Skylar only went on one mission but now in the later chapters she has been to Arizona and broke a guys fingers and to the UK for the turf war dispute. So how could she have been on those missions if she spent 10 months in Maine and the other times being trained...
