Chapter 501
SILVER HOLLOW
THIRD POV

Jason stood behind his desk, his gaze fixed on the report in front of him as though staring harder might force the situation to make sense.
The paper was already creased from his grip, its edges bent from repeated tension. He didn’t notice it. He only noticed the contents.
Again.
Another intercepted convoy.
Another loss.
Another failure he could not explain.
His jaw tightened as he reread the summary for what felt like the tenth time, even though the words had not changed since the first.
Silence stretched in the room until his beta, Caleb finally spoke.
“Third time,” Caleb said carefully, as though stating it plainly might soften the impact. “Same type of interception. Same missing cargo pattern.”
Jason didn’t look up immediately.
Because there was nothing new to say.
Only repetition.
And repetition meant a problem that refused to stay buried.
“I know what it is,” Jason said at last, his voice sharp.
Caleb hesitated slightly.
“Alpha-”
Jason lifted a hand, stopping him mid–sentence.
“No excuses,” he said. “No explanations. I’ve read every report.”
He finally looked up then.
And the frustration in his expression was no longer contained.
“This is the third time,” Jason repeated. “Third time.”
Caleb held his ground, though carefully.

“We tightened everything after the first two incidents,” he reminded Jason. “Routes were changed. Timing adjusted. Escorts increased. Communication limited strictly to verified channels.”
Jason’s eyes narrowed slightly.
“And yet,” Jason said slowly, “it still happened.”
Caleb didn’t respond.
Because there was no easy answer to that.
Jason turned away from the desk and began pacing across the office, his steps controlled but tense. The silence followed him like a shadow.
He stopped near the window, looking out without really seeing anything.
His voice came again, lower this time.
“Explain to me how three supply convoys–properly secured, properly coordinated–can disappear without a single trace of resistance.”
Caleb exhaled quietly, choosing his words carefully.
“That is exactly what is concerning,” Caleb said. “There’s no evidence of forceful engagement at any point along the routes. No battle signs, no sustained struggle. Almost too precise.”
Jason turned slightly at that.
His gaze sharpened.
“Precise,” he repeated.
“Yes,” his beta confirmed. “As if someone knew exactly when and where to intercept each movement.”
Jason’s expression hardened.
That possibility settled heavily in the room.
He walked back toward the desk slowly, resting one hand on its edge again, but this tirpe without crushing the paper.
Instead, he tapped his fingers once against it.
“So what are you saying?” he asked quietly.
Caleb didn’t hesitate this time.
“I’m saying,” he said carefully, “that someone within Silver Hollow is leaking supply movement details.”
The room went still.
Jason didn’t move for a moment.
Didn’t blink.

Then he straightened slightly.
“Insider,” he said flatly.
The beta nodded onse
“Yes.”
Jason let out a short breath through his nose, not quite a sigh, not quite frustration.
It was something colder.
He turned away again, walking a slow circle this time instead of pacing.
The idea wasn’t comforting.
But it made sense.
And that was terrible.

“You might be right. After the first two incidents,” Jason said, almost to himself now, “we sealed routes. Restricted knowledge, reduced exposure points.”
He stopped walking.
“So the only way this keeps happening,” he continued, “is if someone still has access.”
Caleb remained silent.
Jason’s gaze darkened further.
“That means someone is still inside the system,” he said.
His voice dropped slightly.
“And they think they can get away with it.”
Betrayal felt personal when it happened under an Alpha’s rule
Jason turned back toward his beta.
“I want every department reviewed,” he ordered. “Supply logistics, transport coordination, border reporting units. Every wolf with access to scheduling or movement data.”
Caleb nodded.
“I’ll begin immediately.”
Jason didn’t stop.
“I want inconsistencies flagged. I want communication logs verified. I want every pattern mapped.”
His eyes narrowed slightly.
“And I want whoever is responsible exposed.”
Chapter 01-
A pause.
“Before they realize I’m onto them.”
Caleb hesitated for only a moment, then spoke carefully.
“Alpha… if this is internal, the process may take time. Rushing it might cause–”
Jason cut him off immediately.
“There is no time?”
Caleb stopped speaking.
Jason stepped forward once, placing both hands on the desk this time, leaning slightly into it.
His voice lowered.
“This is not just about the stolen supplies,” he said. “This is a slap on my face.”
He looked up again.
