A Wedding Night Gone Terribly Wrong novel Chapter 299

Since Aunt Shelly was in charge, there was no reason to be afraid of their grandma.

But Eleanor was used to ruling her roost. She had always controlled her own children, and she certainly wasn't going to let her disrespectful granddaughters walk all over her. A screaming match quickly erupted in the dining room.

Ding-dong...

The doorbell rang. Grandpa Albert, who had been sitting in terrified silence, leaped up to answer it.

He pulled open the door.

"Delivery for you!"

Albert looked confused. "We didn't order anything."

The driver read off the phone number.

It was Shelly’s order.

Being taller, Larissa spotted Albert carrying a massive plastic bag down the hallway. A smug smile spread across her face.

Eleanor’s face darkened with fury. "She ordered takeout again?!"

Yesterday morning, Shelly had also refused to eat the leftover noodle soup, retreating to her room to order delivery. Last night at midnight, she ordered food again. That was two separate takeout orders in a single day.

When Quentin got home last night, Eleanor had asked him how much it cost. He said the late-night barbecue was over a hundred dollars. Adding in breakfast, Shelly was spending two hundred dollars a day just feeding herself.

This morning, Eleanor had gone to Shelly's room to invite her down for breakfast, passively aggressively dropping a hint about the spending. Shelly had just stared at her coldly and said, "I'm spending my own money to eat what I want. How does that affect you?"

Eleanor had been forced to shut her mouth. Shelly’s family was wealthy. If she wanted to throw her money around, Eleanor couldn't really stop her, even if she hated it. Plus, Quentin was currently banking on Shelly’s family to help fund his clinic, so offending her was out of the question.

But Eleanor was not a patient woman. Suppressing her rage only guaranteed a bigger explosion later.

Seeing the massive delivery bag pushed her over the edge. She pointed a trembling finger at the stack of containers. "She... she ordered all of that?! What a wasteful brat!"

Inside the transparent bag were three large containers stacked on top of each other, topped with a large box of expensive imported cherries. It was a massive amount of food.

Albert hoisted the bag. "Maybe... maybe she ordered it for everyone?"
