A Wedding Night Gone Terribly Wrong novel Chapter 323

How had Annie reacted back then?

She had pushed Jordyn away with a red face and ran to find her brother. Seth had immediately come to her defense, but all he had said was, *'We have a mom.'*

They hadn't mentioned a father once.

Jordyn raised her hand, snapping at her nanny. "Give me your phone."

Snatching the device, she immediately dialed a number.

"Dad, are you done with your dinner? I've been waiting for you forever!"

The person on the other end said something lengthy.

The nanny panicked and tried to grab the phone back. "Sweetheart, you can't bother him right now. He's entertaining very important clients tonight."

Jordyn shoved the nanny away, her face twisting in anger. "Watch how you speak to me! My dad loves me more than anything. His business is nothing compared to me!"

Without waiting for the nanny to argue, she whined into the receiver. "Dad, people are bullying me! Come here right now!"

Annie didn't care in the slightest. Let Jordyn do whatever she wanted.

Annie had a dad now, too.

Jordyn was calling the mean, scary Holden Lockwood for backup, but Annie had a gentle, fiercely protective father watching over her.

The picture books always said good would triumph over evil. Her dad would easily defeat Jordyn's dad.

Star the puppy suddenly stood on his hind legs, resting his front paws on the edge of the pond. His tail wagged furiously as he rubbed his fluffy head against Annie's leg, trying to get a look at the fish.

Annie smiled and patted his head. "Good boy."

"Woof!" Star barked happily.

Jordyn's nanny couldn't help but laugh. "Oh, what a smart little dog. So cute."

Jordyn instantly exploded. "It's just a stupid dog! What's so great about it? I have a dad! A dad is better than a dog!"
