A small figure appeared on the second floor.
When Holden looked over, Hugo had already reached the landing. His small hand gripped the banister. He was wearing a nice wool coat, a scarf tucked neatly into his collar, and a watch on his wrist. He walked down with quiet dignity.
He stood a good distance away from the sofa.
"There's no need to argue. I'll go with Mom."
Since it had come to this, Lyndon, the only one fighting to keep him, let out a regretful sigh.
Beatrice patted her husband's hand. "Don't be upset."
"Sigh..." Lyndon shook his head.
"Yvonne is nearly three months pregnant," Beatrice comforted him warmly. "By the time the weather gets warm next year, she'll give birth. That grandson is going to be incredibly privileged. He'll be the golden heir of the Sutton family."
Hearing that, Lyndon’s expression softened slightly.
Beatrice smiled. "Yvonne is only twenty-four, the perfect age. Once she has the first one, there'll be a second and a third. Nothing can stop her."
The couple exchanged a knowing glance, subtly looking toward Owen.
Say what you will, but Owen's fertility was undeniable.
His first wife got pregnant the month they married, and his second wife got pregnant instantly, too.
They wouldn't have a shortage of grandsons.
They could have as many as they wanted.
The priority right now was family harmony. Yvonne saw Hugo as a massive threat, and stress wasn't good for the pregnant woman.
"So we're just giving both kids to her?" Lyndon raised an eyebrow.
"Not for free," Owen said flatly.
Getting down to business, Holden watched as Owen stared toward the hallway.
Vivian was just walking back with Jordyn in her arms. The moment the mother and daughter appeared, Owen made his demand.
"Pay me fifty million dollars, and I'll transfer Hugo's custody to you."
Vivian froze in her tracks.
