A Wedding Night Gone Terribly Wrong novel Chapter 345

Owen puffed his cigarette, holding the luxury box.

His eyes crinkled with a smug smile.

"Don't worry. With Yvonne's genes, we're going to have an absolute beauty."

Outside, Holden supported Jordyn's bottom to help Hugo carry the weight.

Hugo refused to let Holden hold her; he was determined to carry his sister himself.

Jordyn also insisted on staying on her brother's back.

Vivian jogged alongside them, speaking softly.

"Thank you, Holden."

"I don't know you well, but based on what you did tonight, you're a decent person. You're nothing like them."

Jordyn turned her head from Hugo's back. "Of course not! Uncle Holden is the best."

Holden didn't say anything.

Once they were in the car, Hugo stuck his little head out the window and waved.

"Goodbye, Uncle Holden."

"You're a brave little man," Holden said, patting his small shoulder. "When you get back to your grandpa, be good to him. Listen to him, and don't make him sad anymore."

Grandpa?

Hugo looked back at Vivian in confusion.

He had no idea what was going on.

Holden quickly smoothed it over. "If you run into any trouble, call me anytime, okay?"

"Thank you."

"Goodbye."

Milo Sterling was the last to get in. He sat in the back and waved. "Take care, Holden."

Holden smiled. "Take care, Milo. I'm looking forward to grabbing a drink with you."

The military vehicle tore into the dark night like a whirlwind, slicing through the freezing snow.

The driveway fell silent.

Holden shook the snow out of his hair and winced. His forehead throbbed.

He reached up and touched it; the bump had grown into a hard, painful knot, like a horn.
