Albert slapped his thigh. "Brilliant!"

Eleanor narrowed her eyes. "You're not opposed? I was worried you wouldn't have the guts."

"There's no point to living like this anymore," Albert reasoned. "If it gets Winifred back and lets us enjoy our golden years in peace, sending those kids away is entirely worth it."

"From what the girls said, Holden and Winifred have been in Kingsbridge for a while now, and the kids are still with her. It's obvious he doesn't want them," Eleanor analyzed. Getting Holden to take them back was out of the question. But in all honesty, they were good kids. Annelise was an absolute doll, and Seth was practically a genius. If they were sent back to the Lockwood family, their grandparents would treat them like royalty.

Albert felt a surge of excitement and rubbed his hands together. "I'm just worried that if the Lockwood family takes the kids she risked her life to have, she won't be able to handle it."

Eleanor sneered. "What's there to handle? She's not stupid. Right now, those kids are freezing in some rented house. They can't go to a proper school, they're suffering, and people look down on them. Sending them back to be a little prince and princess wrapped in luxury is doing them a favor."

Albert stood up, immediately pulling out his phone to call a relative and borrow a van. In his mind, he was doing a good deed. He was securing a bright future for the children while simultaneously relieving Winifred of her burden. Without the endless toil of raising two toddlers, she could finally live her own life. If she wanted kids, she could just have them with Quentin. They were both doctors; they were perfectly healthy. They would have smarter, healthier babies who would be cherished by the entire Adams family. Everyone would win.

While Albert arranged the transport, Eleanor headed out to find Shelly for some necessary medication.
