A Wedding Night Gone Terribly Wrong novel Chapter 85

Huxley scoffed at the mention of Holden's name.

"Never met the guy."

He pocketed his phone. "I just called my second brother. This Aqua Park is his project. That stunt at the Glass Sea—clearing everyone out and ruining the show—Holden arranged that by reaching out to my eldest brother, who then contacted my second brother. My brother didn't know the details; he just ordered the manager to handle it."

Winifred immediately grew concerned. "Is Holden close with your oldest brother?"

If they were close connections, she didn't want Huxley causing trouble. With Seth and Annelise here, her priority was keeping them safe.

"He has zero personal relationship with him. Holden only knows him through a mutual business partner."

That meant Holden's influence in Kingsbridge was practically non-existent. Winifred looked at Huxley with newfound realization. This man's network was formidable. A Kingsbridge family with three brothers, all running major enterprises—this had to be the Sheldon family, the city's second most powerful dynasty.

She vaguely recalled hearing that one of the Sheldon heirs was named Huxley.

Realizing she had unintentionally befriended someone incredibly powerful, Winifred didn't object to him stepping in.

Seth stood up from his seat. "I'm coming too."

"Alright," Huxley grinned. He scooped Seth up and playfully pinched his cheek. "That's how a real man acts. You fall down, you get right back up."

Winifred didn't stop them. Holden had already met Seth, and since Holden viewed the little boy as an enemy, facing him head-on would be a good lesson in courage for her son.

Seth, clutching his half-eaten ice cream, sat securely in Huxley's arms as they marched toward the front.

Huxley was twenty-six and solidly built. It didn't take them long to reach the first-tier VIP section.

Inside a luxurious private box, the scene was perfectly domestic. Holden was sitting with Iris and her niece. Quentin Adams was there with Shelly Hale and her two nieces. Both families were comfortably lounging on plush sofas, the tables in front of them laden with premium snacks and drinks.

Jordyn Morgan was sitting in Holden's lap. He was dotingly holding her ice cream, feeding her bite by bite.

Quentin sat beside Demi Jordan.

Iris quickly walked over and gently pulled Jordyn back. "Baby, we don't act like that."

Jordyn kicked and struggled against her aunt. "Uncle Holden loves you and he loves me! He booked this VIP box just for us! It's ours! I won't let Seth in!"

"I know, sweetie, but maybe Seth's family is struggling financially. His seats are probably very far back, so he had to run all the way here to see. Try to be understanding."

"Just because he can't afford a ticket means he gets to steal the one my uncle bought me?"

"Well..."

"Is his dad dead? He can't even afford to take care of his own kid!"

"Oh, baby, don't say things like that..."

"Let me go! It's his dad's fault for being a loser! Dumping his kid in someone else's box to steal a view, acting like a beggar!"
