Her lingering presence was an absolute eyesore for Iris.
Leaning against Holden, Iris spoke in a soft, fragile voice. "How could it be such a coincidence? I just had a little too much to drink and wanted to take a walk, and of course, we run into her."
Iris had already realized Winifred wasn't leaving. Even the security guard couldn't chase her away. Winifred was slowly pacing back and forth near the front, constantly scanning the area—clearly obsessed with Holden.
She really couldn't let him go.
Holden pulled out his phone and started scrolling through his contacts.
"Are we going back to our seats?" Iris asked.
"No."
"Do you have work to handle?"
Holden found Sebastian Sheldon's number and glanced at Iris. "This Aqua Park is owned by Sebastian's younger brother. I'm going to make a quick call."
Iris's perfectly manicured brows rose in delight. "What are you... going to do?"
Was he going to spend a fortune and buy the theme park just for her? She felt a thrill. Holden's love for her seemed to grow more intense every single day, constantly showering her with grand, overwhelming surprises.
"I'm clearing the area. I want you to have a comfortable environment to watch the show."
"But..." Iris glanced toward Winifred, who was still hovering near the Glass Sea. "Winifred looks so pathetic."
"Some people simply shouldn't exist in our space."
"Holden~"
"I know she ruined your mood."
"I just... feel so bad for her."
Holden looked at her with utter devotion. "You are my woman. I only care about you. Whether she lives or dies is her own problem."
"Holden!"
"Iris, put away your kindness. Just sit back and enjoy everything I give you. As for anyone else, I don't give a damn."
She dialed again. This time, when the call connected, there was a lot of background noise. He had put her on speaker.
Holden spoke first, his tone dripping with condescension. "I am a taken man. Your relentless harassment is damaging my reputation and my relationship."
Winifred opened her mouth to get straight to the point.
Holden cut her off coldly. "Hold on. I'll let my fiancée speak to you."
"Hello there~ What kind of woman is looking for my husband?"
Iris's saccharine, gloating voice echoed through the speaker. Winifred felt physically sick. She didn't waste a single second and ended the call.
Nearby, Stanley and Huxley had both just finished their own phone calls. They walked over to Winifred simultaneously.
Huxley spoke first. "Dr. Shultz, watch the kids. I'm going to go have a word with Mr. Lockwood."
Winifred looked at him in surprise. "You... know Holden Lockwood?"
