Chapter 66 Rune Pen
– જે
chloe let out a breath of relief.
The temperature seemed to keep dropping because of the Slime
Even wearing her insulated cold weather outfit and rabbit ear hat, she could barely endure the freezing air
Just as she was debating whether to bite into a Flame Fruit, the tip of her Legendary Arcane Defense Tower flared with violent light.
A storm even larger and more destructive than the Frost Slime’s tornado surged outward.
The wind roared, sweeping up all the snow on the ground.
In just a few breaths, the Frost Slime was shredded with wounds, and the Snow Yetis scattered across the field were torn apart instantly.
‘That’s more like it. A Legendary structure, just as expected, Chloe thought.
Seizing the moment, she condensed all her remaining Energy into a fist-sized Pyro Sphere and hurled it straight at the little frost bloom on top of the Frost Slime’s head.
A sharp sizzling sound rang out.
The car-sized Slime collapsed pitifully.
Chloe exhaled and checked her loot.
This had been an Epic Slime. Combined with the fallen Snow Yetis, it formed a slightly pale golden chest.
[Congratulations. You’ve obtained 23 Common Snow Essences, 11 Premium Snow Essences, 3 Rare Snow Essences.
[Congratulations. You’ve obtained 1 Epic Frost Slime Essence.
[Congratulations. You’ve obtained 0.34 fl oz of Epic Purification Spring Water.
[Congratulations. You’ve obtained 18 Rare Frost Glasses.
[Congratulations. You
obtained a Rare Glass Planter Blueprint.]
It had been a while since Chloe last went fishing. When the drought broke, the rewards were worth it.
She was more than satisfied with the large haul of arcane materials.
Perfect timing. Her Arcane Forge was ready.
She had built the Arcane Forge inside the Slime Cabin, but the roughly sixty-five-square-foot space was already too cramped for the Arcane Workbench.
The expanded workbench, now integrated with the forge, stretched about ten feet long and three feet wide. The surface came up to her waist.
The two pieces formed a single unit, covered in intricate engraved pattems that shimmered faintly, radiating a dense arcane
aura.
They were too large now.

The moment construction finished, both the Arcane Workbench and the Arcane Forge appeared out in the snow. Thankfully, special facilities like these didn’t seem to freeze or break during the beginner phase.
Chloe felt relieved, but also pushed her house expansion plans higher on her priority list.
The house could be upgraded. Maybe that would increase the interior space.
This tiny shack was far too cramped. She couldn’t even fit everything inside.
She sighed.
There was just too much to do, and never enough materials. ‘If only I had someone reliable to help… she thought. She cut off that line of thought and stood in the snow, beginning to craft a Rune Pen at the forge.
She had learned the recipe from her introductory book on magic runes.
[Basic Rune Pen Recipe: Use 1 High-Spirit Feather, 3 arcane materials, and 1 Arcane Core to craft a basic Rune Pen. [Quality: Premium to Epic (depends on materials and crafting proficiency)
[Crafting Requirement: Arcane Forge
[Use 1 Epic Snow Eagle Feather, 3 Rare Fire-Leech Moss, and 1 Epic Earth Essence as materials?]

Chapter 66 Rune P
Chloe was about to confirm when something from the book came back to her.
Magic itself had me inherent attribute, but elements interacted Some reinforced each other, others clashed.
“The elemental cure used in a Rune Pen would affect how effective it was when drawing different types of magic tunes.
She intended to draw Growth Runes, which leaned toward wood and fire elements. Using a fire-aligned core would be ideal
‘Or… she thought.
Her gaze shifted to a Legendary material in her inventory. The Legendary Energy Crystal.
A neutral material with no elemental alignment. It would likely make more versatile Rune Pen.
The question was whether it was worth spending a Legendary crystal on a single pen.
After a brief moment of consideration, Chloe made her decision. It was worth it.
With a Rune Pen, she could create better items for trade. It would pay for itself.
She replaced the Earth Essence with the Legendary crystal and confirmed the craft.
The magic runes on the Arcane Forge lit up.
The materials on the table gathered together and were absorbed into a glowing sphere.
Chloe glanced at the progress. Two hours remaining.
More waiting.
She was used to it.
Taking advantage of the time, Chloe posted in Trading Post.
Chloe: [Buying a full set of extraction tools at a high price. Message me if interested.]
Her name was still trending because of AllNightGamer. The chat was flooded with discussions about her, but Chloe didn’t care. She focused on gathering resources.
At the same time, she opened a private message with CarpenterSoul.
Chloe: [I want to custom order a set of extraction tools. I have a basic design. Can you make it? It’s not a system blueprint.) CarpenterSoul: [Non-system blueprints require talent effects. The more Talent Points used, the higher the price. Fire- resistant materials will cost extra. Send the design. If it’s new to me, I’ll give you a 20% discount.]
Chloe: [Deal.]
She sent a photo she had taken from her rune book.
CarpenterSoul: [3 Flame Fruits. Requires 3 Talent Points.]
