Chapter 75
Chapter 75
Upgrading to a Level 2 territory was way harder than Level 1.
And the requirements were even trickier.
Chloe needed to design different types of terrain.
Then she remembered the special river expansion card in her system backpack.
‘Does this mean that later on, Players won’t just be building structures, but also have to improve the territory’s ecosystem? Chloe wondered.
But Chloe had realized just how important Cubic Yard Soil Plots were.
Level 2 territories required all sorts of large buildings.
Without enough space, upgrading was out of the question.
She’d thought her territory was pretty spacious.
Chloe finally regained her composure.
Whether it was the Glass Greenhouse or anything else, they’d have to be put on hold for now. The priority was Cubic Yard Soil Plots and upgrading buildings.
Plus, Chloe had picked up something else from a Player’s journal.
After leaving the Starter Zone, she could still use the fishing rod to fish up treasure chests, but it was a seriously risky move.
The starter fishing rod had some special abilities. It could cross through all kinds of spaces, reach any territory, and fish up stuff from different Resource Zones or monster areas.
What she got all depended on her Luck stat.
Some Players got lucky and fished up an Eternal Gilded treasure chest right after leaving the Starter Zone, while others pulled up a monster from the Abyss and got killed instantly.
It was extremely dangerous.
But when she was still in the Starter Zone, anything she fished up-whether monsters or resources-was pretty safe, and always came from the Starter Zone.
The fishing rod in Chloe’s hand had a similar effect to the Greedy Compass.
It tempted people with greed.
After leaving the Starter Zone, using the Unstable Wish Fishing Rod was extremely risky.
So, Chloe figured she should fish as much as possible while she was still in the Starter Zone to get the most out of the rod.
She could even try fishing at night now that she had a Legendary defense tower.
According to the Player’s journal, the monsters in the Starter Zone were the most dangerous, but they only went up to Legendary.
Plus, the chance of getting Cubic Yard Soil Plots was way higher during the Starter Zone.

Chapter 75
Chloe thought. Maybe I’ll give it a shot tonight.
After Chloe finished reading the journal, it vanished right then and there, as if the system had wiped it clean. No chance to resell it.
Chloe took a deep breath and carefully thought about what she might have missed.
Crafting an umbrella also needed a Forge, and the Snow Canopy still wasn’t restoring enough Energy.
Chloe thought for a moment and recalled two things she’d overlooked.
One was the Runic Refrigerator Blueprint, and the other was the Enchanting for Beginners guide.
Both were really valuable and both needed the Arcane Forge to use.
No activity from the fishing rod yet, so Chloe decided to check out the Runic Refrigerator Blueprint first.
The notification read: [Crafting Requirements: Ix Ice Rune. 10x Rare Metal. Ix Rare Magic Catalyst.
[Tip: Detected materials in the Player’s inventory and the Arcane Workbench. 1 Rare Magic Catalyst can be substituted with 10 Rare Snow Essence.
[Arcane Forge has unlocked new crafting recipes.
[50 Rare Snow Essence can be crafted into 1 Epic Snow Spirit Crystal.]
[5 Common Snow Essence can be crafted into 1 Premium Snow Essence.
[20 Premium Snow Essence can be crafted into 1 Rare Snow Essence.
[Tip: Snow Essence cannot be stored in temperatures above 41 F. If the temperature rises above 32 F, its elemental properties will quickly fade.
[Due to its unstable nature, any items crafted using Snow Essence as a magic or elemental material will be destroyed if exposed to high heat.
[Snow Spirit Crystal, on the other hand, has a stable crystalline form with a melting point of 572 F. It can be stored safely long as the teinperature doesn’t exceed 572 F.]
Chloe looked at the Snow Canopy she’d crafted.
Turned out these shelters had pretty strict limitations. They were only usable when it was snowing, and if the temperature went up, they’d melt right away unless you stored them away in time.
So, the Snow Spirit Crystal was just like the Ignis Crystal-an Epic, high-quality magic material.
Compared to Snow Essence, the Snow Spirit Crystal was far more precious.
Since it was the last day of the snow season, Chloe thought it was time to hoard as many as she could.
Besides, crafting Snow Essence at the Arcane Forge and making items at the Arcane Workbench were totally separate processes. They didn’t interfere with each other at all.
One wouldn’t realize how precious Epic arcane materials are until he had actually used them.
As far as Chloe was concerned, when it comes to arcane materials, you can never have too many
Chloe couldn’t help but feel a surge of excitement. When she’d taken down the Snow Rabbits earlier, a bunch of Snow Yetis had spawned nearby, but her Arcane Defense Tower had wiped them out in no time.

Chapter 75
She’d picked up a bunch of Snow Essence and just stashed it away, thinking it might come in handy as an emergency water supply.
She never expected it to be this useful.
The Ice Rune was naturally one of the five types of runes Chloe had learned so far.
Chloe couldn’t help but marvel at the power of knowledge once again.
If Chloe wanted to draw the Ice Rune, her Rune Pen was already good to go.
But she’d need to mix up some new Rune Ink.
She could use Slime Ooze. 10 units of Snow Essence, and some kind of spirit liquid. Premium Dew should work as a
substitute.
And for a high-concentration Ice Element carrier, the Epic Snow Spirit Crystal right in front of her was definitely the best
choice.
As for Rare Metal, after Chloe cracked open a high-level Player’s chest, she ended up with hundreds of pieces of Obsidian Iron Ore-the exact Rare Metal she needed.
That was more than enough to craft a bunch of Runic Refrigerators.
Chloe didn’t waste any time.
She tied her fishing rod to the Snow Canopy with some hemp rope and then set aside 25 pieces of Snow Essence for crafting Rune Ink and building more Snow Canopys.
